Massive Horseshoe Crab Content Removal

edit

Hello, I'm Macaddct1984. I noticed that you recently removed content from Horseshoe crab without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hey there!
I know how you're supposed to write a description of your edits. Sorry for not putting a description of what i was doing though, I was waiting till i finished (kinda dumb on my part).
Right now, I'm working on a more comprehensive evolutionary history section for the Crocodilia page, but expect me to be back. My goal on the Horseshoe crab page is to remove the more taxonomy based description in favor of a more phylogeny based one. Taxonomy as a concept is kinda outdated, and that page's sections that involve it are kinda disorganized (it's in two different areas). RenaMoonn (talk) 05:33, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I would prefer you trim the evolutionary history back to what it was before and expand on crocodilian evolution for a new article Crocodilian evolution. LittleJerry (talk) 23:06, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Grammar issue

edit

Hi, just to make you aware that when we talk about members of a given clade (e.g. xiphosurans or archosaurs or crocodylomorphs), that we typically don't start those words with a capital letter (except of course in situations like beginning a sentence). This is unlike clade names proper, where we do expect the word to begin with a capital letter (e.g. Xiphosura, Archosauria, Crocodylomorpha). Zigongosaurus1138 (talk) 14:25, 17 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I've been through and made comments against each of the good article criteria at Talk:Horseshoe crab/GA1. Would you like to go through and see if they are things you can easily fix or if you disagree with any of the comments? This is my first GA review so I'm also going to see if I can get one of the good article mentors to take a look. Mgp28 (talk) 17:43, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
