Luton Town F.C.

That was a very quick and extremely successful trimming back of the History section of Luton Town. Nice work! Dancarney (talk) 15:18, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Luton Town F.C.

Thanks for contacting me. I've had a read through the article and have made some changes to it. I've rated it at C class and I think a GA nomination isn't far off. I recommend that you start a peer review, which would allow comments to be made as to how the article can be improved. Also, you could take a look at other football club featured articles like Arsenal F.C., Gillingham F.C. and (of course) York City F.C. to see what you could include. And thanks for the barnstar. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:38, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Ohh, the 1885. I forgot about it, I should replace it soon when i found one. Thanks. Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 11:26, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Or if you have a new badge of Luton Town F.C, you can always send it to me or message me with the image link (in any format, png or gif) so that I can convert it to svg for you. I recommend a big sized and a high quality image so that it can be converted without mistake. Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 12:32, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
It is quite hard, but I will try and see Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 12:51, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

License tagging for File:LTFC198182.png

Thanks for uploading File:LTFC198182.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Luton Town FC

Nevermind, I just get the speedy deletion warning for that file, and I don't know in which article should I put it. I guess it should be deleted anyway. By the way, can you keep a copy of that svg file? perhaps someone can help you to insert that 1885 thingy. See ya Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 18:50, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Hey, here's some update for you, I've already asked a friend of mine to put in the 1885 words for you. Hope that he can do it Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 09:58, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
Hey, no prob mate :D Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 10:00, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Mick Harford

Hi, noticed you'd added playing stats to Mick Harford's article. When you get a minute, please could you also add the source(s) you got the figures from? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:24, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

So it is :-) thanks, Struway2 (talk) 11:33, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Mick Cullen

Please add your sources when creating articles. Especially for BLPs. Rettetast (talk) 18:03, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. WP:FOOTY has had a crackdown on unreferenced BLPs lately, and we try to be on the lookout for the newer articles so that the problem does not grow further. We have over 5000 articles that are tagged, and probably more that should be tagged as unreferenced. Since you are a Luton Town FC fan i took the liberty of making you a list of the Luton Town F.C. players that needs references. Do what you want with it. Rettetast (talk) 11:54, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:LTFCOgdensCard.png)

Thanks for uploading File:LTFCOgdensCard.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:52, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Category:Football League clubs

Hi, why have you just without discussion redefined this category to only contain current FL clubs? and marked the change as a minor edit? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:49, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

The bounds were clear, and the definition had been discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 28#Football club by competition categories. The lack of inclusion of obvious clubs would be for two main reasons, first because the wording had been to include only current clubs up until the linked discussion, and second, because fans of Premier clubs remove the FL category because their club is in the Prem... If you want to restart the discussion, please do: but the argument was for consistency with the corresponding player categories, that a player isn't removed from category:Premier League players just because his club gets relegated, and the same should be true of clubs. Do you fancy reverting your mass changes to club articles, pending the outcome of any restarted discussion? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:09, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Don't know if people do actually join the WikiProject these days, and I only remembered that discussion because I started it... But it does help to keep an eye on the project talk page, as subjects are often discussed there rather than on a specific category talk page, for instance, because WT:WPF has a wider audience. No harm done :-) cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:23, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Image permission problem with Image:BrianSteinLTFC.JPG

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:BrianSteinLTFC.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 18:12, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
