Dumplings

I made dumplings with my mum yesterday and they came out great. The dough recipe we used is: 2 cups of flour 1 egg a cup of lukewarm water (use as necessary, slowly adding, don't expect to add all of it, usually about half)

We made them as 'ruskie pierogi', I think it's translated as Rutherniann pierogi. It's a stuffing we made with mash potato, fried onions (til they're brown) and curd cheese (best to get from a Polish/Eastern food shop).

Finding sources...

Hi, in our workpage can you give me about 15 minutes? I'd like to sort out where we have legitimate sources of info. I'm going to do a little cleanup. In the meantime - do you mind finding the link for the big block of info you cut and pasted in? Going to web pages is going to generate a lot of things that we cannot use - but books are likely to provide better results. How about if you search http://books.google.co.uk/ on: Chinese moon paintings? I couldn't quickly find a source - but I know that Rex has been looking into this for the article we're working on together Night in paintings (Eastern art).

I wonder if the best solution is to add a section "Witches" in the Chinese mythology article. (Bonnefoy, Yves (compiled) and Wendy Doniger (translator). (1993). Asian Mythologies. University of Chicago Press. ISBN 0-226-06456-5. could be one source).

AWB

Hi Rex, There's this really cool function, called AWB (Automated Wiki Browser), that allows approved people to run automated edits against a group of articles. I know how it is to be starting out and learning the ropes, so I thought I'd run the automated editor which does 2 things: 1) fixes what it can (punctuation, ordering of things, spelling, etc.) and 2) points out where there are some items to be worked on to meet Wikipedia article guidelines.

I just started on a few articles, but I made what changes I could for you - and removed tags where I could for the initial set of articles.

There were a few articles, though, were there was a direct copy and paste of material from a website, which is a copyright violation and can result in the article being deleted if it's not fixed. You may want to read: WP:Copyright violations and WP:Close paraphrasing for a bit of guidance about how to rewrite sourced material so that it's not a copyright issue.

Later on I'll go through a couple more articles - and if you have any questions about why I did something the way I did - let me know. I'm never sure how much to provide the guideline links, because that in and of itself can be overwhelming.

Oh, and there's two merge recommendations.

I personally don't suggest AWB. I was never able to get on with it and only found it a teeny bit faster than doing manually and a lot harder. Yep, it took me a bit to get the settings so that it would work right - but it's been marvelous now that I get what I need to do. It works very well for me - and although it misses things - it catches a lot of things that I otherwise miss. Ok, it's a translator for the socially blind. It offers suggestion on language terms and idioms that autistic find very confusing and it offers action suggestions too according to the message received. If the idea fits all the criteria which is already in the middle of the article then you can put it in a certain category which is on the bottom of the article. I have gone in and rewritten the initial sentence so it should not be a copyright issue. I've also added a bit more information from a secondary source.
