Hello, Rodrigodarosa, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page ‎Ivan Piris have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

There is a page about the verifiability policy that explains the policy in greater detail, and another that offers tips on the proper ways of citing sources. If you are stuck and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Speedy deletion nomination of Kanguro FC

edit

A tag has been placed on Kanguro FC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. AfD Nomination: Primera Division de clubes de la promocion Campoalto 2013

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Primera Division de clubes de la promocion Campoalto 2013 meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Primera Division de clubes de la promocion Campoalto 2013. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Cunard (talk) 21:44, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please don't create theese unreferenced one liners. Always provide sources when you add material to Wikipedia. Rettetast (talk) 06:53, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Going to second that with Rodolfo Gamarra. Seriously, we have enough unreferenced BLPs as it is - see WP:CITE and WP:REFERENCE for how to do it. Other than that, good article, although please don't link the date of birth. Ironholds (talk) 23:10, 13 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Despite your warnings, you are continuing to create these unreferenced BLPs. I must strongly ask you to desist, or you may be blocked from editing. Please consider this a last warning. Thank you. PeterSymonds (talk) 23:29, 13 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Rodrigodarosa! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 21 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 691 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Celso Ortíz - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Footballer biographies

edit

Hi, I can see from your contributions that you enjoy writing articles about footballers. It would be helpful to properly categorise your articles and include at least one external link to a reliable source.

BDFA is a very good source for South American footballers.

Categories are very useful if you would like other editors to be able to find, improve and maintain articles.

This edit is an example of how to add these details.

There is a big discussion going on to decide whether unsourced biographies should be routinely deleted. Adding a reference would prevent your articles from being deleted.

It would be a great help if you could go through your created articles to improve them with categories and sources. King of the North East 21:01, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

New footballer articles

edit

While I appreciate your efforts to expand Wikipedia's coverage of Paraguayan football, please read the many notices you have received about following Wikipedia's policies for articles about living persons. Make sure you add at least one reference (such as a link to a website or article demonstrating that the person is notable) and add categories (especially, the Paraguayan footballers category) so other editors are able to find the article and help improve it. As an example, please look at some of the changes I made to the article on Cesar Benitez. He is an international player, and it should be easy to add the references you used to create the article. Please click on the link to my talk page if you want to ask questions. Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 22:15, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Miguel Medina

edit

I have nominated Miguel Medina, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Miguel Medina. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. NW (Talk) 00:32, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Mariano Campodonico

edit

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Mariano Campodonico. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Mariano Campodónico. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Mariano Campodónico - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Supertouch (talk) 22:39, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mariano Campodónico

edit

The article Mariano Campodónico has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
