Speedy deletion nomination of File:UCG Process.JPG
editA tag has been placed on File:UCG Process.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 05:08, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Jay Cuttler's abdominal muscles.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Jay Cuttler's abdominal muscles.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 23:43, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

October 2009
editThank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images, however, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. Please note that we take very seriously our criteria on non-free image uploads and users who repeatedly upload or misuse non-free images may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.--Yankees76 (talk) 16:26, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Please stop uploading pictures you find on the internet. They will be deleted and you will be blocked from editing. Unless you took the picture yourself or own the rights, you cannot just upload any picture you find. Thanks. --Yankees76 (talk) 20:43, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:UCG-Process.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:UCG-Process.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 18:12, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Copyright problems with File:Ronnie coleman.jpg
editHello. Concerning your contribution, File:Ronnie coleman.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, File:Ronnie coleman.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Ronnie coleman.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Ronnie coleman.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-en wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:Ronnie coleman.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Ronnie coleman.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:27, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Moon splitting image
edit- You cant delete deletion tags like you did here
- You need to provide an actual public domain license for the image, you just cant say on the talk page thata its public. It doesnt work that way.
- The picture shows some kind of line on that section of the moon. No one believes the moon was "split" as mentioned on that article. To assert that the moon was split, you actually need sources for that picture. Who took that picture? When was it taken? Who said that that is a picture of the moon splitting? You cant say it yourself otherwise its original research. See WP:RS. Get my point?
- For this one: File:Splitted moon.jpg, this is not a "self work". Its from NASA and so you need to mention that and you need to fix the license tag for that.
Repeatedly ignoring policies and deleting pictures tags and and reverting things without discussion may result in a block so use the talk page like I'm doing here.--Matt57 (talk•contribs) 10:24, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to File:Splitted moon.jpg. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 10:53, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Thats not a picture of the split moon. NASA took the picture and you need to give the source so no. I dont think you're getting it. --Matt57 (talk•contribs) 20:44, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
NASa never said the picture was a picture of the split moon. Dont keep adding it or you'll get blocked. --Matt57 (talk•contribs) 16:20, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

File:Splitted moon.jpg listed for deletion
editA file that you uploaded or altered, File:Splitted moon.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 06:07, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. Note, if you did create this file, you may want to upload it to Wikimedia Commons, which will allow the image to be accessed by all Wikimedia Foundation projects (which include the various localized versions of Wikipedia)
If you did not create this media file, please understand that the vast majority of images found on the internet are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Most content on the internet is copyrighted and the creator of the image has exclusive rights to use it. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others - do not upload images that violate others' copyrights. In certain limited cases, we may be able to use an image under a claim of fair use - if you are certain that fair use would apply here, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list. If no fair use rationale applies, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Matthias M. (talk) 10:21, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Fair use rationale for File:Rafale.ogg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Rafale.ogg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 06:48, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
File source problem with File:Renewable Energy Treadle Pump.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Renewable Energy Treadle Pump.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:02, 27 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:02, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Copyright problems with Black Movie Awards

- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Black Movie Awards and send an email with the message to permissions-en wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Black Movie Awards with a link to where we can find that note.

September 2010
edit{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:51, 11 September 2010 (UTC)- You cannot erase copyright problems by changing a couple of words. I have rewritten your text at Black Movie Award. Content such as this: "It was first held as the culminating episode of the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), a five-day international film market and retreat, recognized as the premiere Black film festival in the United States of America" follows far too closelty on the source language of "It was first held as the culminating event of the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), a five-day international film market and retreat, recognized as the premiere Black film festival in the United States." License tagging for File:BMA trophy.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:BMA trophy.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:08, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to September 11 Attacks appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. Jojhutton (talk) 03:10, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of The wateska wonder
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The wateska wonder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. To get away from the copyright issue, the text must be completely rewritten, without any use of copyrighted text at all. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 13:13, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Please do not recreate the article without either donating the text, if you are the holder of the copyright, as outlined above or removing all stain of copyright violation. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dr.Richard Hodgson, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.aspsi.org/feat/life_after/tymn/hodgson.htm.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Because there's no evidence that it was there with permission in the first place; and even so, "reprinted by permission" on one website does not release the article under the required licenses. Orphaned non-free media (File:DownFall.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:DownFall.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
