Castle episodes

Just an FYI for next time, splitting List of Castle episodes into separate articles at this point was somewhat premature because there's not enough content to sustain four articles. WP:SIZERULE recommends that consideration be given to splitting the articles once an article reaches 40-60kB or readable prose. Even using a very loose interpretation of the definition of readable prose the amount of readable prose in List of Castle episodes was less than 11.4kB at the time of the split, which is well below WP:SIZERULE's upper limit of the "Length alone does not justify division" category. A strict interpretation of the definition results in readable prose of less than 1kB. Splitting is typically reserved for shows with several seasons, making the "List of" article overly long, and that just isn't the case here. There was just no need for splitting at this point. When articles are split, there is a formal procedure to be followed and some less formal work to be done but much of that wasn't followed and it was necessary to make significant "repairs" to the articles.[1][2][3][4][5] The season 3 article that was created was unreferenced, with almost no usable content and WP:CRYSTAL and has been redirected. When splitting episode articles, the episode lists should be transcluded, not duplicated, as this can result in errors. I've corrected this.[6] The final issue is the {{CastleTV}} template, which I've also fixed.[7] When you take on such a task, you should always ensure it's completed properly. Advice on uploading images

Hello!

Thanks for uploading some pictures to Wikipedia. I wanted to make sure you were aware of some of the requirements and good practices for uploaded images.

• Pick an image name.

When uploading an image, pick a file name that is descriptive, and unique. Remember that many images may be uploaded about the same topic, and remember that names are case sensitive.

• Source the image.

On the image description page, explain where the image came from. If you created the image yourself, then say so. If it's from the web, give a URL. If it's a screenshot of a movie or game, or a scan from a book, give the title.

• Provide copyright and license information.

This part is a little bit trickier, but it's very important. The copyright of the image generally belongs to whoever created it.

If it's a photograph you took, or an image you created (modifying an image that already exists doesn't count) in software like Photoshop or GIMP, then you hold the copyright. To upload it to Wikipedia, you must agree to license it under the GFDL (which allows anyone to use it, but requires that they give credit to the original author and requires that any further edit to the image be licensed under the GFDL as well) or release it into the public domain (which allows anyone to use it for any purpose without restriction.) Do this by placing an appropriate tag on the image description page, like {{GFDL}} or {{PD-self}}. Be sure to mention that you created the image. If you're using {{PD-self}}, you may also want to use {{NoRightsReserved}}, since there is some dispute as to whether one may grant items into the public domain.

If you didn't create the image, or the copyright somehow belongs to another party (like a screenshot, which you might "create", but the copyright belongs to the author of the movie or video game), then you need to find another tag that describes the copyright status of the image. Images used on Wikipedia need to be free for our use and the use of sites which reproduce our content. This means that images cannot have a restriction such as "only for use by Wikipedia", or "for non-commercial use only", or "for educational use". Images without a free license may be usable in certain articles under our policy for non-free content, but such a use must be justified on the image description page.

• Describe the image.

To another reader, the image may not be immediately understood. A caption in an article doesn't explain the image to a visitor who sees it on its image page. Put a brief explanation of what is in the image on the image description page, similar to what you might include in a caption on an article.

List of Castle episodes split

The article List of Castle episodes should not be split without discussion and consensus. The article is far too short to split into separate season articles, and season articles have no content that cannot be includes in the List article. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Castle episodes. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Splitting TV episode list articles - AGAIN

After you previously split List of White Collar episodes there was a discussion on the article's talk page and the consensus was to restore the article. I have previously explained to you that episode lists are normally only split when they are of sufficient length and that they must be split according to a procedure detailed at Wikipedia:Splitting#Procedure. In light of this, it was highly inappropriate for you to split List of White Collar episodes again. It's etiquette to propose the split on the talk page, which you should do since a number of the articles that you split without consultation have now been restored and continuing to split articles is just making extra work for other editors. The show was not on the announced Fall 2010-11 schedule, nor was it listed as a mid-season replacement.
