Speedy deletion nomination of Rebecca Renner
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rebecca Renner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Ariconte (talk) 03:29, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

Rebecca Renner image
editThe image in the infobox of any biography of a living person must be a free image. The image you tried to re-add to Rebecca Renner is not free: its license terms restrict commercial re-use of the image. That means, for Wikipedia purposes, the image is not free. —C.Fred (talk) 02:30, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- I double-checked and it is. I don't know what you're talking about. It's on Flickr in the public domain.
- Was it changed in the last half-hour? When I looked, the license was CC BY-NC-SA 2.0, which is not public domain. —C.Fred (talk) 02:32, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- I Just looked and it is, otherwise I wouldn't have changed it back. Rtbailey99 (talk) 02:34, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- It was changed; however, the media kit still has a restrictive license. I put more faith in a media kit than an unverified Flickr account with one picture posted. —C.Fred (talk) 02:41, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- And how do you know so much about what Renner is up to with respect to the article about her? —C.Fred (talk) 02:43, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Because she tweeted about it. A lot.
- Hi Rtbailey. Is there any connection between you and Renner or between you and Mary Alice Mo? Although there's really no way to verify for sure whether you have a connection to Renner, there are ways to verify whether Wikipedia accounts are connected. Assuming you mean well and just are a new editor, you need to be very careful in what you're doing per WP:COI and also maybe WP:MULTIPLE if there are any connections between you and these other people. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:24, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- No, I follow Renner on Twitter and read her work. I don't know any Mary Alices. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rtbailey99 (talk • contribs)
- @Marchjuly: Based upon a claim made by MAM at her talk page that I corroborated on Twitter, I'm accepting the claim that she is just a user who is a fan of Renner. I'm willing to accept that Rtbailey is just a fan as well. —C.Fred (talk) 03:46, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) That's fine then Rtbailey99. When a new account appears out of the blue and starts editing an obscure article involved in an ongoing discussion, then sometimes there is an WP:APPARENTCOI and clarification is needed. Finally, please try to remember to sign your talk page posts per WP:SIGN. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:50, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
