Rts freak
Hi there!
editWelcome to wikipedia! In response to your specific question, I added the disputed tag because after looking up Wireimage.com's policies, they explicity forbid redistribution of the images. There are likely to be other photographs of these famous actresses elsewhere, so it's very unlikely that these will qualify as fair use.
Personally, I'd suggest you start with editing the text of articles until you get settled. I don't upload images much because they tend to be contentious and the senior editors are VERY fussy about what sort of images they allow. In general, if you find an image on the internet, it probably isn't fair use. A boilerplate welcome message I received when I started editing follows. Good luck! G'day!
editG'day there, Rts freak, and welcome to Wikipedia! Good authors are always welcome on the project, and I hope you like the place and decide to stick around!
We've got a few pages you might find helpful, such as:
It's all best summed up here: write from a neutral point of view, play nice with others, and don't let the rules get you down.
If you have any questions or need any help, my talkpage is always open for business, or you can see Wikipedia:Newcomers help page. Here's a tip to start you off: if you type four tildes (~~~~
) at the end of any messages you leave on talkpages (like this one) Wikipedia will automatically insert your name and the current date and time after your message. Cool, eh? Happy editing!
Fair use rationale for Image:Ffakkreuk.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Ffakkreuk.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:05, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Use of capitals
editHi, the use of capital letters in section titles is usually not done. Please read the Manual of Style. Thanks. Errabee 12:26, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Image:Ffaamcak.jpg, and Image:Ffakkreuk.jpg
editHey Rts freak, I'm trying to help you to keep these images. Today I emailed WireImage and requested permission to use their images and asking if they'd release those images under the GFDL or similar license. I'm now awaiting their response. Bye. - King Ivan 07:11, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Me????
editUm...did you read the REST of my page? Or Abu Badali's talk page? If you had you would see I think he's a mincing, unflexible, power-wielding, revenge-of-the-nerds, smug, relentless, terminator-class walking nightmare. On the other hand, he has many, many supporters who hate people who post copyrighted images with a passion. I think he is just doing his job, albeit ruthlessly, but he has the law on his side so what can you do?
The way I see it, if a show is off the air, you should not have to seek out permission for fair use! Especially if it's promotional material. But apparently my argument does not conform to the monolithic image policy.
Anyway to answer you, I think it was a fine FUR, and I kept it so I could use it as a model for all my future image summaries. But I knew it would never stand a chance against Bulletproof Baladi, so I half-jokingly said it had "no merit". As in, "no chance in hell." This is why I think most of his notices are placebo, since you can never argue with him and win. If he marks your image, it's unlikely you can escape deletion. At least he gives you service with a smile. :P
At any rate, I just left a fuming message on his talk page yesterday, and he promptly evicerated me and made me look like an idiot, so I retracted it and am about to apologize. But it might be for naught, since once I got on his radar he began looking into all my activities.
I still think he's nicer than Yamla.-User:Johnnyfog 9:03, 10.3.06
Your latest uploaded images
editAbu badali is at it again. He seems to think he can just delete your rationales and licences and edits, anytime he feels like it. You might want to keep an eye on your images and the pages they are on, as he never admits he is wrong, so he will always try to get rid of your hard work. - King Ivan 01:48, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Problem user
editWell, he only popped up on my radar a week or two ago. People like him can be incredibly annoying, obstinately reverting to something which is obviously wrong (i.e. the whole currency issue). The only thing we can do is wait. Either he will reform, or he will finally cross the line and get banned. --estavisti 16:10, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Bosnian Cyrillic
editI've called Thunderman on his uncivil comments directed at you in the edit summary and it would be unfair for me to not do the same for you[1]. I understand that his comments were unwarranted but that's not an excuse to degrade yourself with a tit-for-tat personal attack. Nobody gets anywhere with that sort of thing and you end up looking like a jerk. In the future, please try to remain polite and if another editor is causing you enough grief there are a number of arbitration methods for you to deal with it in a civil manner.
While I'm here, I'd like to invite you to discuss the merits of including Bosnian in the list of languages that use Cyrillic. The page is blocked from editing until consensus on the matter is met and you seem to feel strongly that it should be included. I'm sure everyone would love to hear your arguments. Speedy deletion
editI noticed that you tagged the page Image:Sarajevo6.jpg for speedy deletion with the reason "This image was unlikely to have been taken by Asim Led. He has a history of providing dubious sources, and lying about source info. Impropper licence. Since the image is probably unfree, it is also missing a fair use rationale". However, "This image was unlikely to have been taken by Asim Led. He has a history of providing dubious sources, and lying about source info. Impropper licence. Since the image is probably unfree, it is also missing a fair use rationale" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use WP:PUI if you still want the page to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 21:34, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Tch, tch, tch... (Say it with a sarcastic tone while shaking your head from left to right)!!!
editSeriously man lay off the anti-Bosniak sentiment. What I mean is that you are going tagging pictures that show the heart of Bosnia without any justifications. What if Asim Led was a photographer, or photography was his hobby; therefore he can take great pictures. I am just shocked by your actions in general. Whom are you trying to make happy? So far, there was one really extreme Bosniak and that was User:Hahahihibo with whom many had trouble talking to. Everyone else is accepting and willing to cooperate. If you are of a mixed relationship then I understand, but so far you have done nothing well to wiki by sucking up to foreigners. I have been a Wikipedian for 1½ years and have never vandalized, but I have always defended my ethnicity and nation. I am active on the Bosnian Wikipedia for a year now and I am the main initiator of Wikinews in Bosnian (Currently a Bureaucrat). I have something behind me to prove that Wikipedia is in my heart, but you comments just disgust me. Vseferović 01:47, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Odgovor
PANONIAN (talk) 12:53, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- You wrote on your user page that you are Bosniak, so I assumed that you speak the language. What I wrote to you is that what ever dispute you have with Seferović, you two should solve this problem by yourself or ask some admin to help you (it is the same message that I wrote to Seferović). I am not an admin and I do not know much about your dispute, so I cannot help you. PANONIAN (talk) 14:57, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- We have already discussed the issues and have found a consensus. No need to further continue our issues. RTS, I have read your comment and I accpet what you stated. So, you really do not speak Bosnian? Thanks, (sorry on the long response) Vseferović 19:41, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: The Gathering
editHey. Thanx for the feedback. I have always loved this book and was deeply disappointed to find there was no article. If you have anything to add, please do so. :) Satchfan 01:57, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Hey
editYou are totally correct, I'm the ex-user Bosoni. But I'm still the same person no matter what ;) Ancient Land of Bosoni

editHey, I have read your message. It is a difficult issue. I have had simple disputes with you, but I have still not tracked your contribution history. I do not know what this is about and why it came up. The only thing I could suggest is to go and find an administrator that is not part of the ex-yu or connected with ex-yu articles. Anyways, I personally think that sockpuppets can only ruin Wikipedia since users want to put in their (usually wrong) biased viewpoints, through that system. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sj3.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Sj3.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:42, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
