Hi there,

If you have taken part in one of the Wikipedia Editathons, especially the Ada Lovelace Editathons in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, I'd love to hear more about your experiences of editing Wikipedia articles. With my colleague, Dr Clare Anderson, I'm working on a small scale project where we are using a survey and interviews to capture how editing experiences change over time. Hi Ruth, I have been busy since then. I helped run the DYK page on Ada's birthday and on her 200th birthday (sadly missed by a lot of press) I initiated a talk at Wikimania Mexico which led to Rosie and I starting "Women in Red". This has become the largest wikiproject with many partner and sub projects. (>100s of new articles, >15 major editathons and 150 members) The projects aim is to fix/mitigate the gendergap that sees only 1 in 6 bios about women historically (and about 2 in 6 each day today). The project has its own pinterest pages and twitter feed. I think we have helped you with some of your projects. The first new WIR articles were those created for one of the Edinburgh/Glasgow editathons. Contacting me on my wiki page is the best method of getting my attention.... but we are busy every day on achieving Ada Lovelace Day aims. Victuallers (talk) 09:02, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Ruth, Yes I was involved in the Editathon at the Royal Society. Since then we ran our own at the National Maritime Museum to edit pages associated with longitude.
