Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Iranian Arabic poets
editA tag has been placed on Category:Iranian Arabic poets requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! editThis is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at Category_talk:Iranian_Arabic_poets, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. I warned you on AN, you know better than to continue such incivility as this. Cease or be blocked, your choice. KillerChihuahua 12:17, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence Category talk:Iranian Arabic poets. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Thank you. KillerChihuahua 15:16, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
- Suggestions for where to post a notice of a discussion (without naming any editors by name!!!): Open an Rfa; post a notice on a parent article, category, or project, such as Wikiproject Poetry. Make sure the discussion is somewhere it won't be deleted - you could start the category discussion on Talk:Wikiproject Poetry, and then link to it from the talk pages of the contested categories and articles. But don't ask individual editors by name to help you; that's canvassing. Use the template Please see; for example {{subst:Please see | Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Poetrys#Arabic and Iranian poets categories}} placed on the talk pages of the categories and articles, and link to the discussion on whatever page you put it on - my example has it at the Poetry project talk page. KillerChihuahua 15:39, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
- I did not know pinging users is wrong. and called canvassing. I am actually a new user, editing on articles not involved in talks.--Ruwaym (talk) 15:43, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
- Which is why I warned you. Now you know. But the category changes you want to make are controversial, as is obvious by the edit wars. So you need to either stop trying to add them, or get community consensus that they're needed and appropriate. So you need to start a discussion. Remember that the consensus may be that the categories you want are not needed or appropriate, and in that case, you will need to stop trying to add them altogether. Wikipedia is run by consensus, not edit warring. KillerChihuahua 15:50, 25 September 2019 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 27
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hijri Dede, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Iraqi and Ottoman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:08, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

Revising history
editMesopotamia and other historical regions may have included modern-day Iraq, but calling figures from that time period "Iraqi" is revising history in a manner which contravenes Wikipedia policy. You need to stop, immediately, or you will be restricted from making further edits. El_C 06:22, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hi El_C, plz give me a list of years of establishments for all Arab countries, that would help me much. --Ruwaym (talk) 20:34, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hello El_C ? why you blocked me when you don't answered me? if you want me to STOP i said u just up, give me a LIST OF YEARS OF ESTABLISHMENTS of ARABIC COUNTRIES then ask me to stop. so simple.I am just categorizing, i am not historian. --Ruwaym (talk) 21:13, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- You need to learn history if you want to make such edits — I don't have time to teach you history. Your competence is required in advance. El_C 21:39, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Historical revionism
editSTOP these edits. There were no 'Lebanese' [2] or 'Iraqi' people so long ago. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:10, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- HistoryofIran like Baylik of Tunis ? Ottoman Iraq? Ottoman Lebanon? Plz read history-related article of countries first. I am just categorizing by century, if there was not Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, etc plz empty Category:Tunisian poets and then ask me to STOP! --Ruwaym (talk) 20:12, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Read El Cid's comment up above;" Mesopotamia and other historical regions may have included modern-day Iraq, but calling figures from that time period "Iraqi" is revising history in a manner which contravenes Wikipedia policy. You need to stop, immediately, or you will be restricted from making further edits". The same applies to other areas. Keep this up and you will be blocked, if not banned. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:14, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- (Edit Conflict) HistoryofIran That is right. There was no country named "Iraq" in that time, but the name of Iraq for a region, country, government, etc used at least from 7th-century, I am ok with you for not naming Lakhmids people as "Iraqi", Like Category:6th-century Iraqi poets. Btw, I don't categorized a Mesopotamian figure as Iraqi. I just categorizing every person under category poets by century, if they was not Tunisian, Iraqi, Lebanese etc. plz move them out from the category, then ask me to STOP, immediately now! clean up the categorizes, Or move my new categorizies to better name, like 17th-Century Baylik Tunisian poets! --Ruwaym (talk) 20:26, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- We don't name people after historical regions, but after ethnicity/nationality. An Arab/Persian living in say, 10th-century Mesopotamia, would not be called Iraqi, but after their ethnicity, which is quite apparent in scholarship as well - this is basic history. I'm not gonna aid you in your revisionistic efforts. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:30, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- HistoryofIran ok then, move the categories to better name then, but you just revert. This is an agressive action not helping, and as u said you are not helping me, a Wikipedian, then how you can help wikipedia?--Ruwaym (talk) 20:33, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- There is no better name. Me stopping your revising of history is not aggressive at all, and it is in fact helping Wikipedia. You should consider yourself lucky that you haven't been blocked. WP:COMPETENCE is required. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:38, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- HistoryofIran I am sure you don't recognize even 21-st century poets of Arab countries too. most of my edits actually are for modern history, I don't made Jordanian poets in 16th century, but Iraq, Egypt and Tunisia, Morccoo are historical nations. and You like must iranians don't recognize Arabs at all, You first stoped my edits on Iranian Arab poets, why? is there no Arab Iranian wrote poets?!! then, you say stop "Nationalizing" which is not my job at all. I said my point, plz move or clean up arab poets and arabic lag poets categorizes first, then ask me stop categorizing them by century. also i asked El Cid to give me a list of years from when we can someone "Iraqi" or "Tunisian" or any Arabic country. Done. --Ruwaym (talk) 20:44, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

- Category:Iraqi science writers
- Category:Iraqi multilingual poets
- Category:Iraqi hadith scholars
- Category:Iraqi biographers

This all not related to what el cid said! many things is deleted just by a wrong report and User El Cid actually missued his sysob acces. and i aksed El Cid to give me list of years, he refused. I am clearly asked him to give me list of years, they be sure i will stop ethno-national categorizing. --Ruwaym (talk) 21:21, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Unblock#2
editRuwaym (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I was blocked because of the way I created some categories. I didn't think it would be an issue because the Spanish and Arabic Wikipedias use these exact categories and I didn't know it was considered controversial here. Every Wikipedia has the right to make its own rules. I plan to read RfCs and fully familiarize myself with the English Wikipedia process before attempting this again. Over the past month since being blocked I have carefully reviewed the rules about WP:CANVASSING and I am confident I can publicize an RfC in a manner consistent with the English Wikipedia's expectations. I like to notice that because I don't want to be misinterpreted, a friend who speaks English as a first language helped me write this request . Also, I acknowledge that the things I said to HistoryofIran are considered personal attacks here on the English Wikipedia and will express myself in other ways in the future .With Regards. --Ruwaym (talk) 18:48, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 12:42, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Speedy deletion nomination of Ibn al-Kharrat al-Dawalibi
editHello Ruwaym,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ibn al-Kharrat al-Dawalibi for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Decline reason:
While I guess that your best bet is the Standard Offer and you have made an attempt to use it, your unblock request does not properly address the block reason ("competence issues as well as repeated ethno-nationalist aggression and personal attacks"), and does not address the issue that led to the decline of the previous requests. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:45, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

As you have deliberately refused to reword your request despite being told to do so, I have revoked talk page access. If your current unblock request is refused, that leaves you with WP:UTRS. --Yamla (talk) 10:41, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
[Simple English] I joined EnWiki on 3 July 2019, And my account have been blocked since 30 September 2019 by El C under "Disruptive editing: competence issues as well as repeated ethno-nationalist aggression and personal attacks". Means me and User:HistoryofIran. I was newbie then, and that was my first block, and i had no idea about that policy. I was not so active here, I don't know English well, so my contributions included categorizing, and some minor edits. I can remember at that time, 2019–2021 Iraqi protests was ongonging and yeah, i been influenced by it's "Anti-Iranian sentiment" chants. I just don't get necessity of "expiration time of indefinite", i sent before three unblock reviews. I am not worst than User:HistoryofIran (who i "attacked" him), i checked his block log, you gave him a lot of chances. That is good. But how about me? check my global contributions: what is wrong with me exactly? A normal user, who works on biographies, and a New Citizen of Global Democracy (Ba'athist Iraq ended in 2003 and still there is many issues). You can't judge me just because some normal angry feelings. I don't want give you some links: yea see, he told X, i replied Y, I am not nationalist, he was rude, etc... I said enough in my past reviews, and this one too. Is there any admin who can give me a new chance? With Regards.Ruwaym (talk) 21:20, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
Accept reason:
Given your work on other projects, and (at least at first glance) the lack of behavior of the sort that got you blocked here, I've unblocked. I do strongly suggest that you keep your "normal angry feelings" to yourself around here. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 20:38, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- "Can I have another chance? You gave the other guy another chance!" Does not address the reason for your block - nor does it provide any solid assurances that you will not repeat the behavior that led to your block. In order to be unblocked, you would need to make a convincing argument that you understand exactly the behavior that led to your block - and a plan going forth on how you would avoid that behavior. I would suggest reading the Guide to appealing blocks, particularly the section WP:NOTTHEM. I won't decline your request at this time. SQLQuery me! 21:58, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- If someone else reviews this, please note that Ruwaym has been constructively contributing on commons SQLQuery me! 22:00, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- @SQL: And ArWiki and ArWikiquote too. 602 days Indefinite block is enough for a newbie user to understand policies. But I'm an infp based on Myers–Briggs Type Indicator, so not into "logical reasoning" like the others. How can i prove I will not repeat the behavior that led to my block? and how can you generalize me based on that? I said in the reviewes a lot of times. very simple, as a very very normal user. I don't repeaet a same behavior, as an infp I am creative anyway! What i need to say exactly? I said all what you mentioned before in 4 unblock reviews, followed all guids and formal ways for unblocking, like : I am sorry, I understand , I read policies again, I will not repeat the behavior... but there is no new chance for me. --Ruwaym (talk) 22:45, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

The article Behzad Cinema has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Incomplete article with minimal information, possibly created for #WPWP contest.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kazamzam (talk) 18:24, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Hani al-Rahib
editOn 4 August 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hani al-Rahib, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Syrian novelist Hani al-Rahib had a deaf-mute father and an illiterate mother? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hani al-Rahib. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Hani al-Rahib), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
RfA question 14
editHi Ruwaym! I just wanted to let you know that your question here is not clear. To be honest it also comes over as somewhat aggressive, though it's hard to understand what you are trying to say really. I strongly suggest you remove the question for the time being and repost it only after you discussed it with someone in real life who speaks better English. Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ☉) 21:24, 5 August 2022 (UTC)

Sa'd ibn Junaydil
editHi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from ar.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. If you can confirm whether material for this article was sourced from the ar.wiki article I’ll add the template to the talk page for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 15:45, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Mccapra, thank you for reminding me and being ready for help. I saw that template, I will add it if i translate from Arabic wp, but actually i am not doing it right now. I am actually translating from Arabic-language sources to English, not Arabic Wp. I prefer to translate only articles that I wrote in Arabic wp, they are well-written and well-sourced. When i did that, i will add that template. Best Wishes. Ruwaym (talk) 15:58, 14 August 2022 (UTC)

Note about "adoption"
editI'm letting you know that the person who offered to adopt you, Craffael.09, has been blocked indefinitely. This is absolutely no reflection on you. They were inexperienced, and messing around, and unfortunately one of the ways they were messing around was to pretend to be experienced and adopt other users. I'm sorry, this puts you in a weird position. You can certainly re-add your name to the "want to be adopted" list, and wait for a legitimate editor to come along. While I'm not online very often, you're also welcome to ask me any questions you have on my talk page, and I'll try to answer the next time I'm online. Sorry for the trouble. --Floquenbeam (talk) 00:55, 8 November 2022 (UTC)

- Hi Ruwaym, I'm not sure how to write a possessive of the name Jamma'. I have used "Jamma''s" as I expect the first apostrophe (') represents a sound in Arabic. Please feel free to correct the article as you wish. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 03:37, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
