Hi, ST47, I have read the discussion after which the Newtonmas article was deleted, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Newtonmas_(Third_nomination) since you took the final decision. If you consider it more appropriate, I will start a deletion review. I have read your warning, but the deletion review page begs us to start the discussion here.
I understand that the main reason for the deletion was lack of relevance of the term. This is by no means the case as of today, as you can readily check in google: I got almost 2.5 million hits. The term is used by all scientists all over the world. People come to wikipedia to understand and read a serious discussion about it and find nothing. Javirl (talk) 12:45, 27 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
No. I was trying to revert several edits by the same person and forgot how, and you beat me to it and I broke everything. Oops. ST47 (talk) 21:36, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I've been doing some hacking on the MediaWiki::Bot (previously Perlwikipedia), and thought you might be interested in adding a new feature. In particular, I found it useful to add a "namespace restriction" to what_links_here. This is fairly straightforward, you just append namespace=0 or whatever namespace number to the URL request, but the idea is to keep myself from touching anything that is not in article space. Other than that, I have not had add any new features. I have been using it with some success for transferring numeric data from the French/Italian Wikipedias to the English Wikipedia. Normally I use WP:AWB, but as far as I can tell, WP:AWB can't do this (yet). Thanks to you and your co-authors for the great code. Plastikspork―Œ(talk)00:01, 11 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi ST47,
Do you still maintain the Perlwikipedia library? Today I fixed the new login procedure, and it is probably best to submit the patch. Can I do that via you? Best respond at my dutch talkpage. Akoopal (talk) 22:48, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi folks!
I'm hoping that anyone who has left me a message in the last few months and hasn't received a reply will have this on their watchlist and sees this. I've been gone for a while, mostly due to college - I started at an engineering school, and boy have I been busy. Between class, my job at the campus theater, and college life, I just kinda fell off the map. This summer, I'm moving into an apartment with a friend of mine, where I will hopefully have more reliable internet and more space to spread myself out in, and I'd like to offer my services to the community. Now that I have space, I'll be able to have my Linux laptop running 24/7 whatever bots. I'm assuming the community has clotted up around the holes left by the bots I used to run, or simply decided that they weren't needed. If this isn't the case, please let me know. I have all my old code and would love a good project. I also have all the stuff I used for the live election bots, if there's any circumstance for those, don't hesitate to let me know.
I have a new developer who has already in the past 24 hours done an incredible amount of work on MediaWiki::Bot, and I'm hoping to have a finally updated version out soon. As usual, you can get that from the svn at code.google.com/p/perlwikipedia or from the CPAN - look for MediaWiki::Bot. We'll be using the plugin system I prototyped last year more liberally - admin functions are being forked off, so if you need them, all you need to do is install MediaWiki::Bot::Plugin::Admin from your CPAN client. All your bots using MediaWiki::Bot will automatically import from any plugins you have installed, but if you will never need something (like the steward election library, which no one needs ;) ) you don't need to install it.
I'll probably be crossposting this or something like it to the Bot Owner's Noticeboard, or whatever the closest thing is if it's changed since I've been gone. Please don't hesitate to contact me with requests for my old bots to start running again or for their code to be posted. ST47 (talk) 05:07, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, ST47! Thought you might be interested in Motto of the Day, a collaborative (and totally voluntary) effort by a group of Wikipedians to create original, inspirational mottos. Have a good motto idea? Share it here, comment on some of the mottos there or just pass this message onto your friends.

Hello! You are the owner of the inactive bot in ru.wiki. Now we are discussing such inactive bots and if you have any comments - you are welcome. If you have any questions, please ask there or on my userpage in home wiki Rubin16 (talk) 10:25, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
I intend to revise those articles following the Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines. There are more details on the discussion pages of those articles. I'd be interested in any comments you have. It would be best if your comments were on the discussion pages of the two articles.
I am trying to understand how facts are copyrighted. Yes, my source for most of the Bill Phillips article was from the National Academy but I also used some DuPont stories, having never met the guy. I have stripped the page down to nothing but facts, removing most adjectives and adverbs. If I say he went to such-and-such university or the title of a paper was so-and-so just as in the NAS article, how is that copyright infringment? Am I supposed to make up information? Or start with his death and go backwards?

FYI there was an AIV report about what appears to be one of your bots editing while logged out. I think the report was automatic (i.e. using Huggle etc.) but I thought I would drop you a courtesy note so your aware :). --ErrantTmorton166(Talk)22:33, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I live in the same county as Cocoa High School but know nothing more about it other than their mascot may be a Tiger. I have done no editing to the Cocoa High School page and if you will please get your flipping facts correct before scolding me. I have not done any editing on Wikipedea in over a year. I don't have the time. Get a life and don't accuse me of things I have not done.

Hello, this is a notice that wp:WOCP is currently revitalizing to conform with new technology standards and there is currently a call out to all older members to come back and help out. You were listed as a member of the project, and thus contacted. If you want to help with the efforts, please make contact on the projects talk page.
