Welcome!

Hello, SabatinoAL, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Creating the UNC13A Article

edit

I was looking for the template and the "bot" that would create protein articles that I talked about and I found something, but still trying to figure it out.... It looks like a protein stub article can be created automatically as follows. Go to this link: [1]. Enter Unc13A for your query. Then click on the Gene Report tab. It says that the article doesn't exist and gives you the option to create it, but I get an error message. It also allows you to "Toggle Stub Code" which you may be able to cut and paste into your sandbox to get it started. I may post an inquiry on the Teahouse. Here is a link to a Style guide for writing articles about proteins and genes. Biolprof (talk) 16:30, 8 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Unc13A article follow up

edit

I posted a query about this on talk page. We may get an answer there or on my talk page. Biolprof (talk) 16:49, 8 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

UNC13A stub has been created!

edit

Now you can make edits - much easier than trying to create it. Please edit the name of the article in the course page so that the link will be blue instead of red. You can follow my effort to get it started and the ensuing discussion that led Boghog to create it on this discussion page. Boghog is a very active editor on WP Molecular & Cell Biology pages and has been helpful in past classes. Biolprof (talk) 15:34, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
