Hi, no bot, all my own work I'm afraid, although this article was previously deleted by two other admins. In each case the reason was that the article did not provide independent verifiable sources that it meets the notability guidelines. Although your edits are clearly in good faith, unless a properly referenced article establishing notability can be be produced, the article is likely to be deleted again, and given the multiple deletions might be protected from recreation. It's up to you to establish notability, not leave it for readers to do. Jimfbleak 07:13, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't see a problem with the article if you assert his notability. Wikipedia isn't a whose who of everybody. Please at least stress what he actually did or achieved rather tan just his profession ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 19:49, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Repost of Steve James (musician)

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Steve James (musician), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Steve James (musician) was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Steve James (musician), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. CSDWarnBot 20:02, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The repost criterion itself is not valid as ther has never been a deletion discussion. The other concerns above remain, but to avoid that we repeat the circle of speedy deletion and recreation, I've brought this up for further discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Steve James (musician). Pleas join the discussion there. Tikiwont 14:16, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:29, 13 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
