Request reason:

I've been accused of being a sock puppet of Newcomer1, which I'm not. Please note that all my edits on WikiPedia have been made with explanations in the Talk Pages. I'd ask you to show me one occasion when this hasn't been the case. I have to presume that the WikiPedia admin's are neutral. I have been editing the page related to Iran's main opposition group MEK. I gained an interest to edit this article after I read an article on the net with disinformation against the group and quoting WikiPedia as its source. Upon reading WikiPedia's description of the group I found that a lot of the same disinformation existed there too. After a little investigation I found that at least 1 user Pahlevun had been adding negative sentences against the group over a period of several months. I therefore decided to fix the sections that were blatantly wrong, and I ignored the sections that were more to do with people's opinion of the group. If you look at my log for example you'll notice that I kept correcting the section that claims that the MEK are on the terrorist list of the US, UK, Canada, Europe and Australia. They're not. Pahlevun kept reverting back whilst ignoring my comments in the Talk page which included links to news agencies such as Reuters pointing out that the courts had ordered these governments to de-list the group, which they did. So it is factually wrong of WikiPedia to state that the group is on these countries' terrorist lists. It's not a matter of one person's opinion against the other. They’re just not on the lists. The UN terrorist list meanwhile never listed the group in the first place. Pahlevun constantly reverted my changes and ignored all my explanations. I've not made too many edits on the page but if you look you'll see that all my changes came with notes in the Talk page. I should also tell you that the Iranian regime is known for its misinformation campaign to demonize the MEK, which is its main opposition group. Obviously inside Iran, people are executed for supporting the group. So I feel that at least on the open net, people should have the ability to get genuine factual details about the group which they cannot in Iran. When I first began to edit on WikiPedia, I read your rules and regulations and noticed that one must presume all parties are acting in good faith. Hence, you will notice that despite whatever I might feel, I've actually avoided labelling Pahlevun or anyone else for that matter as regime agents. Nonetheless, it's unfair to silence one side of the argument by blocking them particularly when for each edit they are giving specific reasons in the Talk page. I'd rather not be let down by WikiPedia, but even if you decide to keep a block, wouldn't it seem reasonable for me to ask you to take a read of the Talk page and fix the factually incorrect statements on the MEK page such as the claim that the group is on the terrorist lists. Furthermore, I ask you to give a quick read of the MEK page the way Pahlevun has made it. I'm pretty certain that like me you'll notice that it is extremely negatively slanted against the group. I’m open to answering any other questions from WikiPedia admins. Thanks.Saleh Hamedi (talk) 12:46, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You claim you are not a sockpuppet of Newcomer1. But we know you are. Same IP address, same computer. The rest of your unblock request doesn't address your sockpuppetry so is irrelevant. Yamla (talk) 14:17, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
