Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Sally at Oiselle. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Draft:Oiselle, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Ammarpad (talk) 11:42, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
Oiselle submission
editThanks for your submission. I have taken a look and believe the company to be notable based on a quick search; however, teh current draft has way too many references that are not necessary. Please see this for more information on overlinking - MOS:OLINK. If you can narrow the submission down to only the ones needed to verify the content I will take a closer look at the draft. When you are ready, you can resubmit for review of simply leave a note for me on my talk page. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:03, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
editAs noted above by another user, it appears that you have a conflict of interest as your username indicates you are an employee or have a close association with the company. When you resubmit the article for review, please make sure that you properly disclose your affiliation with the company in accordance with WP:PAY. I will be happy to walk you through what is required but would need to know your affiliation with the company so that I can direct you properly. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:05, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
