Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Talisman-5of5live.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Talisman-5of5live.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:55, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Jamie Borger

edit

A tag has been placed on Jamie Borger requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 12:50, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Expressions (Impulsia album)

edit

A tag has been placed on Expressions (Impulsia album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Expressions (Impulsia album)

edit

Hi there Satriani vzla! I saw that you added a {{hangon}} tag to a page which you created, Expressions (Impulsia album). This is good, but in the process you removed the tag requesting deletion under CSD A9. Even though there is a hangon on the page, the deletion template should remain there. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the page is going to get deleted. Make sure you edit the talk page of the page nominated for deletion, located at Talk:Expressions (Impulsia album), administrators will look at your reason why the page should remain before they decide what to do. Thanks - SDPatrolBot (talk) 08:23, 25 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Expressions (Impulsia album). Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 08:27, 25 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Satriani vzla! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 709 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Tommy Denander - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Mikael Erlandsson - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Please do not bold the name of albums, bands, and other individuals as you are doing at Mikael Erlandsson. Please see MOS:BOLD for the select few instances where bolding is appropriate. Thank you, --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:16, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Jenny Redenkvist.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jenny Redenkvist.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. We hope (talk) 00:23, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Jenny Redenkvist

edit

The article Jenny Redenkvist has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unable to find reliable sources. Has not released an album. Fails WP:MUSIC

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jenny Redenkvist

edit

I'm answering here instead of Jenny Redenkvist's talk page. I saw your comments that you left on the talk page. Wikipedia does what people have done and not what might happen. What might happen can change. She maybe qualify as a musician even if she hasn't released an album. An example would be Susan Boyle as she was a notable musician because of the TV show and media articles about her even before she released an album. If there are enough reliable sources about Redenkvist, she could qualify. WP:SOURCES contains information on what makes a reliable source. WP:MUSIC contains information on what makes a musician notable. From #5 on that list, if she released two major albums on a major label, she would be presumed notable even without sources. But she hasn't released any album. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. Bgwhite (talk) 07:25, 1 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi there !! Thank you for your fast reply. I understand your point. I sent some messages to Jenny this weekend but she is on tour. She told me that she is going to send me more info about her ASAP - I already have it but is too general and don't have a reference year. Same situation about the recording info about her 1st album, I only know that they have finished 3 songs, 2 already relesased as I put here. Thank You.

Proposed deletion of Christmas with You(Rick Springfield album)

edit

Hello, Satriani vzla. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Christmas with You(Rick Springfield album), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Proposed deletion of Jamie Borger

edit

The article Jamie Borger has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 14:35, 20 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
