A belated welcome!

April 2021
editHello. Regarding the recent revert you made to In Time: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Opal|zukor(discuss) 15:50, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice, and I definitely will consider it later on. The only reason why I decided not to do it is because I don't want to minimod, in case that is a thing on main Wikipedia (I've been editing only for a couple of months now). Once again, thanks for telling me. SeaCardinal (talk) 15:53, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

George Jung update
editHi there hope you are well! I am new to the community and wanted to contribute as a fan of George Jung's life's story. I don't believe I made a mistake, but can you explain how I can provide the update without it being reverted? Thanks for your message and I hope this one finds you!
Mitp07 (talk) 15:52, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Mitp07
- @Mitp07: Hello. I was unaware of the update to begin with. I just saw you didn't provide a reliable source, but I could have searched other revisions to see if that was true. Apologies on my part, and I will make sure that doesn't happen again. Seahawks4LifeTALK—CONTRIBS 15:57, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
May 2021
editI am new to Wikipedia. I appreciate you message about the changes I made to the article on William Dunn Moseley. I was citing from a chapter about Moseley in a recently published book. I'm not sure what was wrong with the source information I provided. I would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you. Attu43 (talk) 16:03, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Attu43: Oh, I apologize. I didn't see that you made multiple edits in a row. I just saw that your most recent edit didn't have an attached source, so I intended only to revert that edit. But I left it there in case you wanted to add a source. No harm meant! Seahawks4LifeTALK—CONTRIBS 16:12, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
WP:PROD
editHi Seahawks4Life, I noticed you've restored a whole bunch of proposed deletion tags after they were removed from a number of articles. Unfortunately, removal of a PROD tag is considered an objection, and this renders the article permanently ineligible for PROD. As such, I've reverted your restoration of the PROD tag across all those pages - if you still think these articles should be deleted, please take it to WP:AFD. On that note, objection to a PROD tag does not constitute vandalism, though I can certainly understand how removal of the tag across many pages could be seen as disruptive. Thanks :) stwalkerster (talk) 17:06, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, one more thing (sorry!) - this revert of yours, which you gave the edit summary
Unapproved section removal
, goes directly against what WP:BLANKING says:Policy does not prohibit users, whether registered or unregistered, from removing comments from their own talk pages, although archiving is preferred. If a user removes material from their talk page, it is normally taken to mean that the user has read and is aware of its contents.
stwalkerster (talk) 17:18, 5 May 2021 (UTC)- I apologize for my actions. I didn't know what he was doing; I thought I was dealing with a vandal. Thanks for letting me know. I'll read the manual. Seahawks4LifeTALK—CONTRIBS 17:24, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
You are now a pending changes reviewer!
editHi Seahawks4Life! I've been running into you while patrolling logs and recent changes, and I happened to notice that you don't have the pending changes reviewer rights. I hope you don't mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you're quite active in recent changes patrolling and that you consistently view and undo vandalism and bad faith disruption. I believe that the pending changes reviewer rights would be useful for you to have and that you'd make good use of the tools. Instead of having you formally request the rights at WP:PERM, I went ahead and just gave it to you. This user right allows you to review edits that are pending approval on pages currently under pending changes protection and either accept the edits to make them viewable by the general public, or decline and revert them.
Please keep these things in mind regarding the tool or when you're reviewing any pending changes:
- A list of articles with pending edits awaiting review can be viewed at Special:PendingChanges.
- A list of the articles currently under pending changes protection can be viewed at Special:StablePages.
- Being granted and having these rights does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
- You'll generally want to accept any pending changes that appear to be legitimate edits and are not blatant vandalism or disruption, and reject edits that are problematic or that you wouldn't accept yourself.
- Never accept any pending changes that contain obvious and clear vandalism, blatant neutral point of view issues, copyright violations, or BLP violations.
Useful guidelines and pages for you to read:
- Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes, the guideline and tutorial on using the rights and reviewing pending changes.
- Wikipedia:Pending changes, a summary of pending changes protection, the pending changes user right, and how it applies.
- Wikipedia:Protection policy#Pending changes protection, the policy section on pending changes protection and its appropriate application and use by administrators.
I'm sure you'll do fine with the reviewer rights - it's a pretty straight-forward tool and it doesn't drastically change the interface that you're used to already. Nonetheless, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my user talk page if you run into any questions, get stuck anywhere, or if you're not sure if you should accept or revert pending changes to a page - I'll be more than be happy to help you. If you no longer want the pending changes reviewer rights, let me know and I'll be happy to remove it for you. Thank you for helping to patrol recent changes and keep Wikipedia free of disruption and vandalism - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:59, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- Keep up the great work! If you keep doing what you're doing by reverting vandalism, warning users, and reporting repeat offenders to AIV, in a few months and after some more experience, I'll make you a rollbacker! ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:00, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update. I am glad to be upgraded to this level (as everyone was lol). And like always, I will use my rights to help make Wikipedia a better place. Once again, thank you. Seahawks4LifeTALK—CONTRIBS 13:05, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- You're welcome! You deserve it! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:28, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Your user page
editHi, I noticed your user page (I'm a Seahawks fan myself) and I'm afraid it might be in violation of WP:NOTWEBHOST. You can find more details about the purpose of user pages and the type of content that's appropriate at WP:UPYES. Please take a look at those two pages. Happy editing! - Sorry to pop in again, but for your personal security, I suggest removing your legal name, date of birth, and place of birth from your user page (and then email Special:EmailUser/Oversight to request deletion of that information from your user page history). Best practice is to use utmost caution and discretion when revealing information that could be used to personally identify you. You can find tips at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Happy editing! Schazjmd (talk) 16:14, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. I was a bit nervous about that to begin with, but I saw other users were using it, and I thought why not? Now I understand the consequences. Thanks, again. Seahawks4LifeTALK—CONTRIBS 16:18, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Schazjmd: Also, I'm wondering. You jumped in and notified me about this about an hour after I added the infobox. Was that a coincidence or something like that? Seahawks4LifeTALK—CONTRIBS 16:44, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- When I post on someone's talk page, I add it to my watchlist so I can see if they reply to me without pinging. Since I'd posted here before, it came up on my watchlist when you made changes to your user page. Schazjmd (talk) 16:48, 27 May 2021 (UTC)

Removal of Changes
editHello Seahawks4Life, I had a message showing that you restored something that I removed on the page for Doordash. The only thing I removed was the giant list of citations that had a tag that literally said "Excessive Citations". If you click and look through the citations, half of them are completely irrelevant to the actual sentence to which they are cited, and the sentence isn't even something complex that needs more than a single citation. It relates to the valuation of DoorDash at its IPO. Just wanted to clear this up as this appears to be the only place to do it as per the link given. Once you see this, feel free to delete it, I just didn't want you to think I was randomly deleting things or vandalizing a page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.180.6.118 (talk • contribs) 19:26, May 30, 2021 (UTC)
- @192.180.6.118: Thanks for the notice. The only thing I would recommend is that you at least state your reasoning in the edit summary, that way I know you aren't vandalizing. Happy editing! Seahawks4LifeTALK—CONTRIBS 14:04, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
