Welcome!

Hello, SergioSalcido48, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was User:SergioSalcido48, which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Jeff, Thank you for your response. My question is, I am a professional athlete & am trying to have all of my career notoriety posted in one place. I have seen other professional athletes with pages & as I am sure they are represented by agents / agencies but I am self-represented & curious how to make that happen?

Best,

Sergio Salcido

Wikipedia is not social media for people to tell the world about themselves, nor is it free web space for people to write "pages" about themselves. This is an encyclopedia, that has articles about subjects shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources to meet Wikipedia's special definition of notability. If you do meet the relevant criteria, you should be aware that autobiographies are strongly discouraged here. 331dot (talk) 01:41, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) I would hope that most of those articles on other athletes were written by volunteer editors, not by agents or agencies. Writing about yourself on Wikipedia is not a good idea due to the inherent conflict of interest (see also WP:Autobiography), but you can request an article about you to be written; WP:Requested articles explains that process. The short of it is: Find the relevant sub-page (in your case probably Wikipedia:Requested articles/Sports#Lacrosse, add your name at the right place in alphabetical order, and attach somw links to reliable independent sources such as newspapers or reputable sports magazines that cover you in some detail so that the editors reviewing the requests have something to go by. Since you have already written a draft at your user page, a link to that page would also help.
Your user page, as it stands, is not suitable as a Wikipedia article. There are quite a few problems that would likely require an extensive rewriting. It doesn't have inline citations, the given references are of rather dubious quality (many are not independent), there are external links in the body of the article that shouldn't be there, and so on. It's possible to turn that page into a valid draft, but it would be a lot of work. If you prefer to put in that work yourself instead of asking someone else to write an article about you, you are welcome to do it; in that case I can help with the technical side of things and add a messagebox with a "Submit your draft for review" button that you can use to submit it for a review by an experienced editor when you're done.
