Revert on B. B. Comer

Can I ask why you reverted the IP's edits to B. B. Comer? The IP's edit summary said the section was off-topic, and it was, in fact off-topic. Your rollback had no explanation, and you posted a form warning on the IP's page. I don't think that's the proper use of rollback. agtx 18:02, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello agtx, did you read that:
This section may stray from the topic of the article. Please help improve this section or discuss this issue on the talk page. (January 2016)
Is delete your solution? Regards --Serols (talk) 18:13, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
Delete isn't necessarily my solution, but I think it's certainly in the acceptable range of possible solutions. What I'm really concerned about, though, is the use of standard rollback and form messages to revert an IP user's good faith edits. This was not vandalism, or nefarious page-blanking, or anything like that. The fact that we're even having this discussion suggests that the edit did not meet the criteria in WP:ROLLBACK for using standard rollback. agtx 19:14, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
Hello agtx, the user who created the text module knew what he was doing. To delte the text module and the remaining text is vandalism for me, that was unnecessary. Sad that you support it. Of course, it´s much easier to delete as to edit it. Regards --Serols (talk) 16:39, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

What is your problem?

Why do you keep adding badly sourced material from a blog? If you do it again I will report you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.93.175 (talk) 10:38, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

You delete nothing - please use the talk-page. --Serols (talk) 10:43, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
I amm entitled to delete material that is taken from unreliable blogs. It fails WP:RS and WP:NPOV. YOU need to explain why you have readded. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.93.175 (talk) 10:45, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

Arulmigu Sri Raja Kaliamman Glass Temple

Hello. Article Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple paragraph history repeats itself twice. --Стефанко1982 (talk) 18:43, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello Стефанко1982, please write this in the comment field, so it looks like vandalism. Regards --Serols (talk) 18:47, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) I did correct it. However, I also added tags for underreferencing and unencyclopaedic tone, as those are definitely issues with that article. Cheers. --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General18:48, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Asexual Awareness Week

Looks like you have a bot(?) autoreverting edits on the Asexual Awareness Week page, but that last change to the dates was constructive - current page has the wrong dates for 2016 (it's repeating the 2015 date instead of using the correct 2016 dates), and I'm trying to add in the corrected dates. Quick question - editing

Hi Serols - When I am looking around at poor 'recent changes', more than half the time, when I go to a page to revert something, I see that you have already done that revert. That is awesome.

My question is, how are you doing this in such bulk. Any tips for me? Thanks. Amiwikieditor (talk) 16:16, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello Amiwikieditor, sorry for my late answer. I am working with Wikipedia:Huggle. Regards --Serols (talk) 19:12, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Thanks Serols, all good. Thanks for your reply. Gonna go and check out Huggle. Amiwikieditor (talk) 04:42, 15 October 2016 (UTC)

Gotha Program

Serols,

The History section which I added to the Gotha Program page was from work I did for a job. The company holds the copyright, not me, so I unthinkingly violated both Wikipedia standards and the company's rights by adding that text.

Please do take the History section back down. Thanks Paul Daniel Ash (talk) 18:54, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello Paul Daniel Ash, sorry - see here. Regards --Serols (talk) 18:56, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, Serols. I appreciate you watching out for what must simply have looked like vandalism. I will be more careful in the future. Paul Daniel Ash (talk) 18:58, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

Type 366 Radar

My edit of Type 366 Radar is simply adding the link to the same article in wikipedia in Chinese, and please give a detailed explanation of linking two different languages of the same item in wikipedia is not constructive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 40.141.53.206 (talk) 13:51, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello 40.141.53.206, please read Help:Interlanguage links. Regards --Serols (talk) 13:58, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
Maybe you should read that page yourself: Help:Interlanguage links#Local links
Adding these links, even in this format, is a valid, constructive edit and should not be repeatedly reverted like this.
If you, or another editor, wants to move them into Wikidata, then feel free - but do not simply revert them like this. Andy Dingley (talk) 16:21, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
Hello Andy Dingley, thank you, you're right, that was a mistake of mine. Regards --Serols (talk) 17:23, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Erlichiosis Article

Response to your reversion of my edit: Did you read the removed material? Some of it was plagiarized. All of it belongs in other WP articles, if it belongs anywhere, and is tangential to the article's topic. Wikipedia articles should, in my opinion, not be dumping grounds for any and all material an editor believes has a connection to the subject. I favor concision and original wording in encyclopedia articles, and am sometimes shocked by what I find included in Wikipedia articles. That article needed cleanup, and I did so.--71.36.106.14 (talk) 19:21, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

M27 & M83 edits

Thank you for being so vigilant in protecting the usefulness of Wikipedia.

You recently rejected addition of external links to M27 & M83 which offer Wikipedia users around the world assistance in locating these objects without sophisticated equipment. There are no other maps which show the position of these objects with imaginary intersecting lines. Because observers in the U.S. ordinarily have digitally controlled telescopes, these maps may not be considered as "constructive" in large parts of the Western world. My objective is to provide maps that provide free access to the heavens for users around the world who may not speak English.

Please reconsider your removal of these links. Also, please remove the temporary block on further edits.

I have read the Wiki instructions on external links and I believe I fall well within the guidelines.

Please advise.

Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:100A:B013:C83E:9D8E:985C:3F84:270F (talk) 18:16, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Straight Edge List

Hello Serols, I am responding to this post you made on on talk page:   Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to List of people who follow a straight edge lifestyle— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Serols (talk) 18:49, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

I would like to know how to retain the edits I made to the page. The edit of removing "Ted Nuget" from the list is accurate and constructive. I could see no discussion on the matter under the discussion tab, and as I am new to editing on Wikipedia, I'm not sure how to engage other participants in that discussion. How do I go about having the needed discussion on this topic? Xrodolfox (talk) 19:07, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

Hello Xrodolfox, use the dicussion -> in the headline is the button "New Section". Regards --Serols (talk) 19:25, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

Huggle version

Hello, Serols. I noticed you're still using Huggle v3.1.21. I thought you'd like to know that v3.1.22 has been out for some time now and includes some changes. The most notable change is the login interface. Huggle no longer supports single sign-on (not that it ever did on English Wikipedia) and instead supports using Special:BotPasswords instead. The page is definitely a misnomer, as it's not primarily for bots. The page basically allows you to create a username and password that can only be used by programs like Huggle. This allows users to limit different applications' abilities. This is useful if, for example, someone manages to get the username and password you use for Huggle (which is different from the username and password you use to login to Wikipedia). When you notice the strange activity, you can simply disable the all the permissions of that login. Bot passwords cannot be used to login to Wikipedia. I hope that explanation wasn't too hard to understand. And, no, I'm not a Huggle developer. I simply saw in your edit summary that you still use an older version. (I have User talk:97.91.239.164, where you added a notice about the edit, on my watchlist.) Gestrid (talk) 09:15, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

Hello Gestrid, thanks for your note. For better understanding - first I create a bot password (do I have to consider something? - can I use the same name?), second step download the new Huggle-version. The new bot password is only for new Huggle-version - correctly? Best Regards --Serols (talk) 14:30, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
Yes, you create the bot password first. When you create the username part, it'll come out something like "username@bot name". For example, I used "Huggle" as the bot name, so my username for Huggle is "Gestrid@Huggle". You can then decide what permissions you want Huggle to have. In my opinion, if you don't know whether Huggle uses a particular option or not, you should check the box just to be safe. Also, no matter what boxes you check, you still won't be able to use a permission if your Wikipedia account doesn't already have that permission. For example, I could check the box "Block and unblock users", but I wouldn't be able to use it because I'm not an administrator. After that, it'll ask you what IP ranges you want the bot password usable on. To see how to allow it on all IP ranges, click the information icon to the right of that box. Then you save, and it'll give you a bot password to use. Don't lose it. Save it somewhere on your computer. It won't give you the password again, though you can reset the password if you want to. Gestrid (talk) 17:23, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
Hello Gestrid, thank you very much for your very helpful support and your help. Lovely wishes --Serols (talk) 18:07, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
No problem! I was a little confused when I updated, too, so don't feel like you're the only one! Gestrid (talk) 20:50, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

Macrovertebrate Index

Any reason why you reverted my removal of the DUPLICATED list of references (all of them are listed in the reference section above it) and why have you reverted my fixing of the broken in-text reference link (previously identified by Wikipedia in red as a "Cite error") in the page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macroinvertebrate_Community_Index ? Piotr — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.55.218.66 (talk) 18:27, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

Hello 47.55.218.66, you created an error, this was the reason. Regards --Serols (talk) 18:34, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

I think the Cite error was BEFORE I made the comment, so if anything, I have not fixed it ... But thank you for fixing the thing now. Piotr — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.55.218.66 (talk) 19:05, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

A general notice (and message of gratitude)

Thank you for reverting any malicious edits made by this IP on Wikipedia. However, I regret to inform you that this IP belongs to a school district which holds a myriad of rambunctious students, so a simple warning won't stop.

I would advise having this IP blocked for further editing unless users log into their own accounts.

Again, thank you.

WQEZ

My edit was made because it originally mentioned 97.7 FM WCHY (The original WQEZ) as being related to WOEZ 106.3 Onaway. I took out any mention of 97.7 (except for their format switching to WYPV) I also chose to leave out those references because they weren't there anymore and it was just red text or something like that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RicoDelgado-NMMA (talkcontribs) 19:29, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
