- I've been working on the SJFA East Region for the last few days. Always fun. I'm down to the North and South divisions but can't work out if Luncarty and Harthill Royal are still in business (they were listed as in abeyance for last season). Harthill are showing results up until the April conclusion on their website; Luncarty's home page is deid. - NewTestLeper79 talk 22:12, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- Also, I come up with 156 active clubs (breakdown below), but List of Scottish Junior Football Association clubs shows 161.
- West Region (64 clubs)
- East Region (56 clubs)
- North Region (36 clubs)
- Rats! The errors are likely in the bottom tiers. I'll look into it. - NewTestLeper79 talk 22:36, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

Football in Scotland
edit
As part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Football, a Football In Scotland task force has been set up. As you edit articles on Scottish football, I would like to invite you to become a member. The task force is a collaborative effort to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Scottish football. If you would like to participate, please visit the task force page for details of how to join. |

- Your membership would be appreciated even if you don't contribute to it directly. Junior football is an area where we lack. As i am finding out through the creation of the task force there are so many areas that need attention. Junior football being one of them. Also if your ever have any questions or need advice were probably a good place to start. In response to one question there is nothing wrong with creating the talk page of articles you create.. Nice work adding 2011 data, It should be in its own season article though. doesn't belong in league article. cheers. :) -Koppapa (talk) 17:49, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- The cup's season should have its own article too. -Koppapa (talk) 18:09, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- No problem just haven't had much time to work on it. They should really have separate articles If its ok ill copy some of your stuff on to mine move it to real space and then we can work on it together to improve it. Some of the info should stay on the main page like current teams. We could try and add more history to the main page make it more like the Scottish Premier League page wont be easy but think it would be worth it. In regards to your idea for the 2001 football in scotland. I prefer your page as gives more information however its always been a bit of a contentious issue. You could put a message on the article talk page with a link to yours and see what people think or change it and if someone changes it then take to talk page. good work though. - Nearly forgot the cups we could create season articles for them as well but i am not sure where we would find the sources for it.Warburton1368 (talk) 18:51, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Gallacher
editHi, thanks for your kind words re Juniors etc. I agree I seem to have made a mistake basing the addition of Hughie on the information on his page. Looking at the spreadsheet, not many junior internationals of that era were at Shawfield so I think you're right that it was some other kind of representative game. I should have double-checked it, but stupidly just added it based on that exact term being used in the text, and obviously the fact that a player of his standard would have been in contention. Don't think I had the spreadsheet at that point. Pretty confident that the other players I added to the list are accurate (assuming the spreadsheet is right). But looks like Gallacher is an error so please go ahead and remove it, or I can do so if you prefer. Sorry for any hassle caused or time wasted. All the best. Crowsus (talk) 00:29, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- Nope, no throat jumping inferred, I definitely got that one wrong. The 2 Danny McGrains are a weird one, I think they are cousins and vaguely remember looking for a reliable source to add that fact to the articles, but could only find it on forums. You can see why that is would happen with it being a fairly unusual name, for there to be two professional players called it must be a very small chance. Difficult to find much about the Clyde Danny as everything searched for tends to go to the Celtic Danny.Crowsus (talk) 19:01, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
