License tagging for Image:Chandavarkar girangaon.pdf
editThanks for uploading Image:Chandavarkar girangaon.pdf. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:05, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the Rajnarayan Chandavarkar article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing!
I have saved the images and might get round to rewriting the article with the content given tomorrow if I'm bored.
Thanks for your intervention, but both the article on this page and the images have been reproduced on Wikipedia with permission from the original authors and publishers. I have restored the page and article as originally uploaded and would appreciate being notified if someone volunteers to share the responsibility for maintaining the page.
- Again, this is probably unnecessary, but I understand that permission has to be clear and received on the mailing list or something to satisfy the licensing procedures.
File copyright problem with File:Irene fischer.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Irene fischer.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ZooFari 00:22, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Chandavarkar1.png
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Chandavarkar1.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:16, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
