Hello Shellwood, I noted that you added the Heppelmann deletion discussion your added the discussion to the list of Businesspeople-related deletion discussions and the list of Minnesota-related deletion discussions. I have scoured Wikipedia for other lists because for a fair hearing, a broader set of editors is needed. In particular I am interested in finding lists in advanced manufacturing, computer aided design, product lifecycle management, Internet of Things, and Augmented Reality. Would you please tell me where I would find the list of these lists? thank you for your help with this. Stevep2007 (talk)Stevep2007 (talk) 21:03, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Issues with the page for Nikki Turner
Hi, I am unsure why this page is being considered for deletion. She is a very notable person - heads New Zealand's vaccination programme and is a spokesperson for social action groups. There was some discussion about this page before and we did a lot of work on it. I would argue that she is notable enough for a page and would appreciate the thinking behind this notice. She is also one of the country's top researchers in the field of vaccinations. Realitylink (talk) 08:50, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Realitylink: Hi, I suggest you bring your concerns to the AfD page and speak to the nominator. I can't be of any further assistance since I have no knowledge of the subject, I was merely doing some deletion sorting, which is standard in these processes. You don't really have to do this, but you should remove blank or nonsensical edit requests, as they usually do nothing but clog up the articles talk page. You should use editProtectedHelper as well, as it's pretty helpful. Hope this helps. Deauthorized. (talk) 18:06, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Stop
Can you stop updating Serbia? It is a waste of time to refresh the source several times every night, only to see that you updated it already. Every time you are doing it, you are forcing me to update another country. You have done it 13 times already and at least once every month since October 2020. LSGH (talk) (contributions) 03:06, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- @LSGH: To anwser your question no, I won't stop updating the figures for a certain country just because you want to do it yourself and Wikipedia doesn't wait for you to make specific changes. This is not a question you should be asking and I have no idea why you did this[1]. I suggest you be more careful in the future, it would basically mean less work for everyone. This isn't the first time I have seen you do this. Shellwood (talk) 07:59, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- Isn't it ironic that you want less work for everyone but more work for yourself? What makes you want to do the work of other people? No one complains if you update other countries a few hours after they release new numbers, but when it comes to Serbia, you find it unacceptable that it is updated more than 3 minutes after the source is updated. What makes you so interested in Serbia? LSGH (talk) (contributions) 09:56, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
- @LSGH: The only person wasting time here is you, reverting back outdated numbers, creating more work for others as showed above and you will be careful and stop this. I could ask you the same question, why are you so interested in Serbia? Besides there is nothing unacceptable about updating with fresh numbers just within a few minutes. And while we are at it, I can see that you have raised your concerns before about you not getting to edit what you want[2]. This is starting to smell WP:OWN. Deletion sorting
Hi, I notice that you added Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/International Science and Research University to to the top of Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Education and Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Schools using a tool.I believe that the notice should go in the Universities and colleges section of Deletion sorting/Schools, which is then transcluded to Deletion sorting/Education. Is this possible using the tool? TSventon (talk) 16:18, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- @TSventon: Hi, well I have never encountered this problem before using the script. And as far as I know this should have happend automatically so I'm at a loss here. However you left no notes on the AfD page about the discussions being added to either the list of Schools-related deletion discussions or list of Education-related deletion discussions, hence my actions. Shellwood (talk) 17:25, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, I manually edited Deletion sorting/Schools and then couldn't edit the deletion nomination because of an edit conflict with you, which can happen when one editor is editing manually and another is using a tool. I will try to clarify my question
- should the notice go into the Universities and colleges section of Deletion sorting/Schools, which is then transcluded to Deletion sorting/Education and not directly into Deletion sorting/Education?
- if the answer above is yes, is this possible with the tool you are using? TSventon (talk) 17:40, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- @TSventon: I see, edit conflicts are unfortunate. As I said above this should happen automatically but there is no automatic transclusion from one list to another, since the school list and education list are at different pages so you will need to make separate edits for each through the tool, this is not a big deal. I recommend you install the script and try it for the next AfD, it would also minimize the risk for future edit conflicts or you could simply just add all the notes before publishing the AfD. Shellwood (talk) 18:25, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- Please can you let me have a link for the script. I am not particularly concerned by edit conflicts: if I get an edit conflict warning I can check the other edit before proceeding. I believe that Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Schools is transcluded into Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Education as sections 1-4 of Schools are identical with sections 4-7 of Education. This is mentioned at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Archive 2 "Page overlaps are not properly accounted for. For instance, a deletion listed under "Schools" should not also be listed under "Education." " TSventon (talk) 18:44, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- @TSventon: you can find it here. Shellwood (talk) 19:09, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- @TSventon: And as a final note, dont undo my edits just to test the tool, when I said try it I meant you should use it in an appropriate situation, like an unsorted AfD. That AfD is not your sandbox for testing stuff. Shellwood (talk) 10:08, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
- I am sorry that upset you and won't do it again. I thought undoing your edits was an appropriate way to test the tool as I don't create AfD nominations often. TSventon (talk) 10:22, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

COVID cases in Nauru
Hello Shellwood,
I have asked the question on the COVID-19 pandemic data template's talk page, but I have the impression that the subject no longer excites the crowds... So, I’d like to have your opinion on this news: https://www.solomontimes.com/news/frontliners-test-negative-after-cargo-vessel-scare/10974. It seem that they have 13 positive cases on a ship in Nauru and I want to count them to this country. But, Nauru government still claim be covidfree (https://www.facebook.com/groups/219485726427273/) and reliefweb speak of "International conveyance" (https://reliefweb.int/map/world/epidemic-and-emerging-disease-alerts-pacific-27-july-2021). Have we to count these cases to Nauru? Sami270 (talk) 09:25, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Sami270: Hi and sorry for the late reply, I must have somehow missed your post. As I understand it this is case of a crew on foreign vessel being tested positive for Covid and not the case of any domestic infections. I recall similar incidents in the past being discussed and the outcome has always been not to include those numbers in the template. In any case, we would still need to have a reliable reference, preferably coming from a government in order to make such a change. An advice for future situations, if you find yourself in the need for input from your fellow users a good idea is to make a request for comments. This will usually attract more people and keep the discussion in one place. Shellwood (talk) 09:59, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, do not worry, thank you for your respond. Other user have the same opinion, these cases can not be included in Nauru total. Maybe we can mention them in COVID-19_pandemic_in_Oceania#Nauru by specifying they count as International conveyance. Thank you for the advice. Regards, Sami270 (talk) 07:15, 4 August 2021 (UTC)

Please join this discussion - there is increase in the abuse of Wikipedia and its processes by POV pushers, Paid Editors, and by holders of various user rights including Autopatrolled. Even our review systems themselves at AfC and NPR have been infiltrated. The good news is that detection is improving, but the downside is that it creates the need for a huge clean up - which of course adds to backlogs.
Copyright violations are also a serious issue. Most non-regular contributors do not understand why, and most of our Reviewers are not experts on copyright law - and can't be expected to be, but there is excellent, easy-to-follow advice on COPYVIO detection here.
At the time of the last newsletter (#25, December 2020) the backlog was only just over 2,000 articles. New Page Review is an official system. It's the only firewall against the inclusion of new, improper pages.
There are currently 706 New Page Reviewers plus a further 1,080 admins, but as much as nearly 90% of the patrolling is still being done by around only the 20 or so most regular patrollers.
If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process or its software.
Various awards are due to be allocated by the end of the year and barnstars are overdue. If you would like to manage this, please let us know. Indeed, if you are interested in coordinating NPR, it does not involve much time and the tasks are described here.

I am Getting notice This article is being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy. She is a very notable person her movie has got various awards that she is notable enough for a page and would appreciate the thinking behind this notice. latest references has also been attached. 70mmreels (talk) 19:54, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
- @70mmreels: I haven't tagged the article for speedy deletion nor am I the one who nominated it for deletion, you should bring your case to the AfD page and speak to the nominator. I can't help you since I have never heard of this actress and also you are not allowed to remove AfD templates like you did here [3], please don't do that again.
