editHello, I'm *Treker. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ★Trekker (talk) 09:46, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
Share your experience and feedback as a Wikimedian in this global survey
editHello! The Wikimedia Foundation is asking for your feedback in a survey. We want to know how well we are supporting your work on and off wiki, and how we can change or improve things in the future. The opinions you share will directly affect the current and future work of the Wikimedia Foundation. You have been randomly selected to take this survey as we would like to hear from your Wikimedia community. The survey is available in various languages and will take between 20 and 40 minutes.
You can find more information about this survey on the project page and see how your feedback helps the Wikimedia Foundation support editors like you. This survey is hosted by a third-party service and governed by this privacy statement (in English). Please visit our frequently asked questions page to find more information about this survey. If you need additional help, or if you wish to opt-out of future communications about this survey, send an email through the EmailUser feature to WMF Surveys to remove you from the list.
Thank you!

The survey is available in various languages and will take between 20 and 40 minutes to be completed. Take the survey now.
If you have already taken the survey, we are sorry you've received this reminder. We have design the survey to make it impossible to identify which users have taken the survey, so we have to send reminders to everyone. Writing dates
editPlease don't change the format of dates, as you did to Chumbawamba. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.
For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.
If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you.

editPlease do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Spotted dick. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. See MOS:LQ. General Ization Talk 21:58, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
WP:SERIALCOMMA
editYou may not be aware of WP:SERIALCOMMA, which I would refer you to. In most cases the serial comma is only a style choice so please don't alter such instances solely on the basis of your own preference. There are instances where potential ambiguity requires its absence or presence but this doesn't pertain to the examples of your edits. All the best. Mutt Lunker (talk) 10:09, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Richard Branson. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Please stop making edits that are only for the purpose of arbitrarily changing optional styles, such as comma styles. You are welcome to edit articles with mixed usage to make them consistent throughout; in that case it may be helpful to determine what style was used in the first non-stub version of the article. However, just changing an individual instance, or changing an article with consistent usage to another style without prior consensus, is inappropriate. Thanks for your understanding. --IamNotU (talk) 14:16, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

editRegarding your editing, for example your contribution to Al Pacino.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Al Pacino does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! your recent contribution to Al Pacino has been undone because it is not helpful. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 10:08, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

editHello. In a recent edit to the page Israeli settler violence, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. RolandR (talk) 17:58, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
Important Notice
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}}
on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

CS1 error on Aliya Jasmine Sovani
editHello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Aliya Jasmine Sovani, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 03:00, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

Meir Ettinger
editI've reverted your revert on Meir Ettinger. You claimed that " There's no evidence provided that he wasn't/isn't involved in extremist activity," which is a completely ridiculous counterfactual. Or For one, as I stated in my edit summary per MOS:LABEL, the use of the term "extremist" is to be avoided for living people. Second, per WP:BLP there better be really good sources to label someone an extremist. So abide by Wikipedia policy or see yourself at WP:ANI. Longhornsg (talk) 09:05, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 9
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Armin Mueller-Stahl, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Naked Among Wolves (film). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
