Ways to improve Mary Coyle

edit

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Siqbal, thanks for creating Mary Coyle!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This has been tagged for 3 issues.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Invitation to participate in study

edit

Hello,

I am E. Whittaker, an intern working with the Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please reply to this message or email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview. .

Thank you Ewitch51 (talk) 18:39, 22 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Jena Fi: No one is in trouble. There are rules for uploads to Wikimedia Commons and they apply to everyone. I'm not picking a fight with you on purpose. Dozens of files are nominated for deletion every day. If your uploads meet the licensing criteria, they will stay on Commons. If not, they will be deleted. These rules apply to everyone. // sikander { talk } 15:34, 25 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your change to Randy Mamola

edit

I think this was a retrograde move; it is less-flattering and emphasises the 'goldfish bowl' (or space helmet) syndrome (does my head look big in this?) with exaggerated proportion caused basically by a low camera angle and no background. It also loses Mamola's working environment (at least, from his more-recent working lifestyle) - that is, the pit lane - from the reader's experience. I requested this image a few years back which I think is perfect (the club colours are seen in the seating). Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:34, 16 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Rocknrollmancer: Thank you pointing this out, I agree that the small crop doesn't look that great. How about now? // sikander { talk } 🦖 01:02, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Better, thanks.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 01:10, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Baratiiman I am so confused. What disruptive editing are you referring to? // sikander { talk } 🦖 04:03, 7 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
They're referring to this revert [1]. Borgenland (talk) 03:58, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Borgenland. @Baratiiman: I find it quite rude of you to claim that edit as disruptive and to threaten a block from editing. The summary for that edit explains what it is doing. I did not vandalize the page. In my opinion the image was not needed on an article about an election between two people who have nothing to do with that image. Since your threat linked to a policy, please read through this one as well: WP:BOLD. // sikander { talk } 🦖 04:18, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
