A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Aidan O'Rourke requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.aidanorourke.net/About/ABOUT-AIDAN. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. buffbills7701 21:26, 2 December 2013 (UTC)

- Let me apologize for this inaccurate message. Bonkers has since been blocked for disruption. --ThaddeusB (talk) 23:30, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
- @ThaddeusB: This article is already in mainspace at Aidan O'Rourke (musician). It looks like it was created independently by another editor, which is IMHO a good indicator that he's a notable musician.
- @Simplymarvellous: I can only apologise for the delay. Even without the 2014 Radio 2 Folk award (very well known to anyone who listened to Mike Harding), he accumulated sufficient awards before that to meet the notability guidelines for musicians and really should have been accepted far sooner. Sorry. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:53, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Karst. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Joan As Police Woman without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Re. Joan As Police Woman Hello Karst. Thank you for your request for further information. My editing was made having spoken to Tom Rose at Reveal and also Joan Wasser who had said how that the previous version was factually incorrect. We were editing in good faith to make it factually correct and to take out some of the irrelevant detail. I do no believe that my relationship with Reveal Records is of relevance as mention of them and other labels had been removed from the page in my edit. I look forward to your response and hope we can go back to my more factually correct and up top date version.
- Thank you for your reply. I'm afraid it is essential that you clarify your relationship with Tom Rose and Reveal as this constitutes a conflict of interest. If you post on behalf of the artist, please use the Talk page and point out what issues need to be resolved. Many thanks. Karst (talk) 14:06, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
- Reveal Records are a client of my design business. However, the directive for making these changes came from Joan Wasser. Her label manager Tom Rose asked me to make the changes knowing that I have previously posted on Wikipedia.
- Thanks for making that clear. As I noted, please make any edit requests on the Talk page. I will do some work on the page over the next few days to add further content. For any further clarification I would suggest contacting the administrator @Drmies:. Karst (talk) 14:35, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
- The text that I posted was as discussed with the artist and actually leaving in more of the details that she had orginally wanted. I though tit was important to include the names of the notable act she has worked with but not the detail. I also took out references to record labels and release dates that I thought either sounded like they were selling or were actually irrelevant. What I posted this morning was, in my opinion, a good compromise between the artists requests and the original post and if you wish me to send you that (if you no longer have it) then please let me know.
- Anything that is 'approved' by the artist will not pass, I'm afraid. That said I intend to improve this page. Hopefully to the same standard to say, St. Vincent (musician). Karst (talk) 15:15, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
