Notice of revert for Songkran
According to my revert of Songkran and your mentioned about edit war to me.
The reason I have reverted change(s) made by User Pierrevang3 who tried to spread false information that Songkran is a Khmer word which is not true. I have some academic resources to let you know. The term Songkran is Thai word as the following proofs,
- In Google Book and search with "Songkran is a Thai word" AND "The term Songkran is a Thai word" (included Quotation marks for exact result).
And also compare search result of "Songkran is a Khmer word" and check the Phonetic notation topic in Talk:Songkran
- Doctoral Dissertation p. 334 said:- "The term Songkran is a Thai word meaning to move".
- Songkran in Oxford English Dictionary
- The term "Songkrant" (TH: สงกรานต์) in Thai language was romanized (IPA) as "songkran" in accordance with Royal Thai General System of Transcription. see Wiktionary.
I hope that you are understand the situation and proceeding under the rule Wikipedia:Don't lie to the article, and would you please remove edit war warning on my talk page if my arguments are true and correct. Thank you. Quantplinus (talk) 03:45, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Draft deletion possible?
Sorry to bother you. Would you know what can be done about the draft created by the sock Bayundurid? Is deletion a possibility? --Kansas Bear (talk) 23:54, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Kansas Bear: Probably not. I'm assuming you're talking primarily about WP:G5. That's not applicable here. G5 applies to cases of block and ban evasion. Clasus1453 was not blocked from the draft namespace when they created the draft. While their edits as Bayundurid to the article and template namespaces were evasion, this draft was not. As for other potential reasons for deletion, I can't meaningfully assess those, since I know nothing about the subject. From an uninformed perspective, this looks like a reasonable, if poorly written draft, on a subject that might not be notable. Usually that's not enough to warrant deletion of draft. Sir Sputnik (talk) 00:21, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ok. Thanks. --Kansas Bear (talk) 00:24, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
Please link to a resolved discussion or advice that says that transfermarkt should never be regarded as reliable, as you should have done in your edit. Braintic (talk) 00:57, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Page Breaking my Computer
Hi,
As the most recent active admin, I would like to mention this:
[1], select "visual", and go to a different browser tab and come back. You'll likely see the page will start lagging. I was trying to revert vandalism and came to this. Is this vandalism? Myrealnamm (💬talk · ✏️contribs) at 20:51, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Myrealnamm: Without any particular knowledge of the subject, it looks fine to me. The lag you're experiencing is likely unrelated to this edit particular, and you'd probably get the same result for any other edit after the bulk of the page's content was added at 18:48, 22 May 2024. With over 1000 entries in the reference list, rendering the page will be quite taxing on your browser. Sir Sputnik (talk) 21:12, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Regarding speedy deletion
@Sir Sputnik, I hope you're doing well. I saw you declined the speedy deletion of the sock's pages [2]. But I have talked about it with Ivanvector and they say that WP:G5 should be applied in this case. Please see the whole context here and see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mohammad Umar Ali, thanks. Based.Kashmiri (🗨️) 12:28, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Based Kashmiri: With all due respect to Ivanvector, I have to disagree with their assessment as far as G5 concerned. I will not apply that criterion unless there is some specific sanction I can point to that's being evaded, and that's not the case here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 14:45, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- I see. Regards. Based.Kashmiri (🗨️) 15:52, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Blocking of User:Braintic
Hi, For some time now user Braintic and I have been working together on the pre-nineties deaths lists. During this process Braintic's contributions have been instrumental in improving the quality of the lists . Sadly, I noticed you blocked User:Braintic on May 25th. Braintic was clearly out of line but the consequence is that our work has now come to a screeching halt. That's why I'm asking you to unblock Braintic. Again, you had every right to block this user who at times struggles with the rules and technology here. But it would be a shame that his/her useful contributions would come to an end. Regards, Mill 1 (talk) 10:21, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
- Any unblock request must come from the blocked editor themselves, and must contain a convincing explanation as to why the block is no longer necessary. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:34, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Transfermarkt
Hello Sir Sputnik,
You have removed transfermarkt.de as a source at Hamburger SV.[3] May I ask why you consider it as unreliable? I see no evidence at Transfermarkt that this is the case, especially when the website is used as a source for match results (as opposed to market values). Renerpho (talk) 10:02, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
