Hello Skarg and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Hi there, I just wanted to let you know I touched a number of your entries very minimally to direct your Conyers links to Conyers, Georgia in order to change Conyers to a disambiguation page. Also do most User Talk pages include the template above? Mine doesn't seem to. -- Morton2002 15:43, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
New Photo Matching Service
editHi there,
I'm contacting you because you listed yourself at Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Photographers. You might be interested in a new wikiproject page that lists photographers and articles that need photos by location. The page is located at Wikipedia:Photo Matching Service or WP:PMS GabrielF 00:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! I added myself to the Wikipedia:Photo Matching Service. Skarg (talk) 21:12, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Tag is incorrect on this image Image:Plains-of-abraham-park-map.jpg
editThe map is likely copyright (unless there is some reason for it not to be copyright) and therefore you cannot claim copyright on it. Consider if you'd taken a photograph of a cinema screen - who would own the copyright on the resultant image ? It's unlikely that the image is fair use - it would be better off being deleted. You are correct. I only recently realized that when signing up for istockphotos and following their tutorial. I will delete the photo. Skarg 21:42, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:26, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
I deleted the BACnet Logo image. The creator (David Fisher) of Polarsoft, did it under contract for ASHRAE. Skarg 21:05, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Snowball bush
editHi Steve! The pictures of your snowball bush are beautiful, but your shrub is a Japanese Snowball Bush (Viburnum plicatum), not a European Snowball Bush (Viburnum opulus). Thanks :-) 62.113.159.156 22:06, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for noticing. I guess I'll move it or remove it (or someone else can).Skarg (talk) 21:11, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
California photo requests now by County
editI just spent the past few days moving all the California photo requests into County categories to make it easier for photographers to locate requests in the locations where they take photos. Please consider monitoring and adding your name to the list at Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in San Diego County, California. GregManninLB (talk) 21:28, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
I added my name, and took some of the requested photos on my recent trip which I will put up soon. Skarg (talk) 19:51, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Georgia (U.S. state)
editI saw your name at Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Photographers. Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Georgia (U.S. state) has been subcategorized by county. Please consider monitoring and adding your name to Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Rockdale County, Georgia and to any other Georgia county where you typically take photographs. Thanks. Hi Steve, i'm currenty trying to identify locations of photos in the "Buildings in unidentified countries" category. There's one named Brick building with glass windows.jpg that was taken by someone named Steve Karg, so i just try and ask if this is one of your pics, maybe you could tell me about the building pictured there? Thanks a lot! --Fl.schmitt (talk) 11:26, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
Hello. The building was the Lithonia Lighting office building at 1 Lithonia Way, Decatur, Georgia, USA Maps. They have since changed the facade and renamed the street to Acuity Way.
- @Skarg: Great, that's very helpful! I'will add those information in commons, maybe it's useful for anyone. Fl.schmitt (talk) 04:57, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
