File permission problem with File:Shri Kulkarni.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Shri Kulkarni.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Train2104 (t • c) 15:12, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- The copyright release and the permission of the current copyright holder to use this file for Wiki has been sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org with
Ticket number 2017041510012198. Thank you for your advice, but somehow the e-mails are not having effect, and I am worried that the photo will be deleted. I wish there was a site, where copyright related papers can be directly uploaded, because between the ticket# and filename, it is crossing and never getting anywhere. I would like your help in doing this right, if you could. I would like this to be sorted out, so that the file I uploaded does not get deleted the 3rd time and I earn a bad name and all my uploads getting blocked. I am also struggling to get this talk going properly, because I do not want to disclose my private signature publicly, but I would like people to be able to write back to me. --Smallshrine 14:27 Wed 19 Apr 2017 (PST)
- The file got deleted again. My forwarding e-mail of the e-mail sent out by copyright owner has been returned by yahoo mail-daimon with message saying the
address permissions-en@wikimedia.org does not exist and got sent back 3 times. What should I do? --Smallshrine 15:56 Wed 19 Apr 2017 (PST)
- The file got deleted again. The copyright release papers from the creator and the release from current copyright owner were included with the ticket number. This delete has been due to the fact that the volunteers cannot catch up with the mounting copyright related work and not to do with the negligence on the uploader's part. I would appreciate it if people can give me help. --Smallshrine 22:28, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
Photo file(s) (Original and modified) in the article Shrinivas Kulkarni
editThe original photo was deleted at least two times, because the permission division was not moving fast enough, although the e-mails from creator and the current copyright owner has been sent. The last time it was deleted, I contacted someone in the higher level and pleaded about this. Apparently they did find the e-mails stuck in the permission department. So, the higher up restored around July. So, the alerts that keep coming up after July is in correct. If you are concerned please contact the permission department, because someone did see those e-mails and restored the photo for the article. I wish, the system was more straight forward, such as uploading the permission files along with the photo, so that it is obvious for anyone to see. Current system made me never want to upload the picture unless it is my own. --Smallshrine Smallshrine 05:45, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
File source problem with File:ShrinivasKulkarni2016Modified.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:ShrinivasKulkarni2016Modified.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
