This is your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss things with them. At the end of your messages you must put your signature by signing with four ~~~~ (just as I have done) or by pressing the button in the editor bar as shown here in the picture. By the way, you don't need to sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted. Another valuable page that may provide information and assistance is User:Persian Poet Gal/"How-To" Guide to Wikipedia. My name is Buster7. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information. Good Luck editing!

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Acting Witan of Mercia concern

edit

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Acting Witan of Mercia, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 13:56, 20 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Hasteur Thank you for reminding me of that. I'm intending to edit the proposed article and attach more sources to satisfy the requirements, but it will be a time-consuming job to dig out the references and I'm heavily involved in a project at the moment, so I won't be able to do it soon. If the proposed article is deleted before I can get down to it, will I be able to retrieve in a deletion area and work on it there? Best wishes Snoobysoo

Per WP:REFUND/G13 if the article gets deleted before you can get to it, you can request restoration of the article (assuming it doesn't violate any other policies). You can also request that the page be Userfied to remove the possibility of being speedy deleted in this manner. I leave the options up to you. Further, it's almost always a good thing to start a new section on the page if you're not directly responding to a previous thread. Hasteur (talk) 11:56, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your article submission Acting Witan of Mercia

Hello Snoobysoo. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Acting Witan of Mercia.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Acting Witan of Mercia}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. DGG ( talk ) 01:39, 27 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Jeff Kent

edit

Please could you confirm that you are aware of WP:REFSPAM and WP:COI, and perhaps clarify your relationship to Jeff Kent? With respect, the pattern of your edits is rather striking, to say the least, and I do wonder whether your sole motivation for editing is to improve the quality of Wikipedia. Dave.Dunford (talk) 23:09, 27 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I'm generally aware of the various criteria/procedures for entries/editing. Jeff Kent is pretty well known to me, hence the reference information I've supplied, but I try to make all my edits objective and factual. My recent contributions have mainly been adding independent references to support notability and correcting information on various related subjects (to try to get aspects concerning the topic to be accurate [to my knowledge]). I usually concentrate on one subject at a time, hence the pattern you've identified, and am about to move on, having almost tidied this area up. I take your point, though, and will continue to be very careful that my edits are within the Wikipedia remit, as I do wish to play my small part in helping it to remain a quality encyclopedic source.Snoobysoo (talk) 10:35, 28 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Are you Jeff Kent? If you are, this would pose some problems, although it might explain the pattern of editing on the Jeff Kent (author) article and elsewhere. Are you Jeff Kent? 2A02:C7E:1028:F700:5C08:189D:E0E6:91AB (talk) 21:11, 2 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

See User talk:Snoobysoo#Jeff Kent above. User claims to know the author, but not to be him. Dave.Dunford (talk) 08:52, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
See the selfie of Jeff Kent, which Snoobysoo uploaded as "Own work". Whilst pretending, on many other pages, to be merely a close associate of Jeff Kent who writes lots of content which aligns with Jeff Kent's interests, and cites sources which are written and "published" by somebody called Jeff Kent. Because reliable sources don't say what Jeff Kent wants to say. 176.24.58.125 (talk) 14:39, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
