VP
Hello! I see you did some approving, if you have time, would you approve me please? Thanks! Phgao 06:38, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

NPWatcher
Hi, I see you declined Bressman's application but left mine untouched. I don't see any reason for this but it's a pain doing NPWatch manually. Cheers. --Rodhullandemu 14:43, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
NPWatcher application denied?
I don't really see why you declined my NPW application. There were a few pages that I tagged for a7 deletion that were actually notable, but those were just a few out of numerous pages correctly tagged; also, when the incorrectly tagged pages were brought to my attention, I admitted that tagging them was a mistake. It doesn't seem like a couple mistaken CSD tags (all placed in good faith) should be enough to disqualify me from using this program. Those few comprise a pretty small percent of all pages I've tagged for deletion, the vast majority of which were speedily deleted. I ask you to please reconsider and allow me to use NPWatcher. - Ok, I'll wait to see what the other moderator says. Pyrospirit (talk · contribs) 19:12, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
VP
Out of interest, why did you ignore me on the list while approving others around me?--Porcupine (prickle me!) 19:21, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- I hope you won't take umbrage if I second that on my own behalf w.r.t NPWatch. I'm not keen on another evening of cutting & pasting templates from my sandbox. --Rodhullandemu 19:26, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough - I just thought it looked slightly random, that's all :-) Why delegate me to Betacommand?--Porcupine (prickle me!) 19:23, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi - I didn't abuse Twinkle; could you maybe provide one or two diffs? Plus, where is this conversation with Betacommand?--Porcupine (prickle me!) 07:13, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

VandalProof
Hi Snowolf. Thanks much for approving me for VP! Problem, though, when I go to use it, it tells me that the user list is corrupt and I need to contact a moderator to have it repaired. Oh the humanity! :) Can you repair it? Into The Fray T/C 00:37, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Nope, no dice. But I assume it's just me, or you'd be hearing about it from someone else. It might be a conflict with NPWatcher, which I had booted earlier . . . or something like that. I'll do a reboot in the morning and try it again. Thanks again. Into The Fray T/C 05:47, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Application Approval
You declined my application, but you referred to another user name (crazywabbit). I believe that was by mistake. Did you see his edits? or mine? —Preceding unsigned comment added by BeanoJosh (talk • contribs) 17:18, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
VP, brief follow-up.
I should always remember to RTFM. I had downloaded the wrong version and that's why it wasn't working. D'oh! Anyway, thanks for your help. Into The Fray T/C 02:58, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
VP again
Hi, I'd actually appreciate a reply to my above thread, you know.--Porcupine (prickle me!) 07:10, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, but I'll pass
Hi Snowolf, and thanks for the compliment, saying that I'd make a good administrator. I've passed up such opportunities before, and I'll pass on this one too, but sometime I just might go for it. Meanwhile, thank you for the vote of confidence! Fg2 21:20, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
RfA nomination
I appreciate the offer for the nomination, but you need to know my current situation before we could proceed with something like that. I was nominated for admin back in March, and the result was a no go based on what I feel were some unfair and unethical accusations by some opponents to the nomination. I responded with a self-RfC in June here. I've been given advice that I should probably wait another month or two before trying for admin again. So, after that time has passed if I can't find anyone willing or able to nominate me, I'll probably come back and ask if you're still willing to do so. Although being an admin is supposed to be no big deal, some in the community apparently don't consider that to be true. Again, thank you for the vote of confidence. Cla68 23:28, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Surprised
I am surprised and flattered that you would like to nominate me for admin. Thank you very much. This is something Ruhrfisch suggested awhile back. I have been thinking on and off about it ever since. So I guess, since two folks think I can do it that I might as well accept the nomination. Thanks again. Dincher 00:08, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Vandal Proof: Verify Authorization
Thanks for accepting me. I have downloaded the program. I log into wikipedia on IE, open WP, it finds me, I click 'Verify Authorization', nothing happens. Could you check I am on the authorized list, or give me some suggestions to what I can try to fix it? Thanks, Tiddly-Tom 18:53, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Does it matter I am using Vista? Tiddly-Tom 19:28, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- I am having the exact same problem. I, too, am running Vista (Business). Maybe it's not compatable with Vista? —Signed by KoЯnfan71 My Talk Sign Here! 00:57, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have now installed it onto an XP computer, I get further this time :P I still get a 'You do not have the latest vertion' (when I downloaded the latest vertion :S) also, when ever a wikipedia page tries to load on it, or I try and do anything n VP involving IE, it says there is errors in the code (several of them) but if I keep clicking 'Yes' or 'No' it will eventually go away and the page will load. Any ideas? thanks, Tiddly-Tom 18:05, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- I don't have an XP computer....I might be able to use something Microsoft makes....Virtual PC. Then I can run XP on my Vista. For now, thanks anyway Sno. I'll watch my thread on the bug reporting. —Signed by KoЯnfan71 My Talk Sign Here! 00:01, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- Just tried to log on and it says user list is corupt, could you sort this? Thanks, Tiddly-Tom 06:01, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- It is not corupt anymore, but now my white and black lists have dissapeard, and it wont update recent changes! Tiddly-Tom 18:03, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Admin suggestion reply
Thank you for your kind suggestion, Snowolf, but I would like to gain some more experience before thinking about becoming an Administrator. At this stage I will take your thoughtful note as support for the general direction I'm heading in, and will continue to contribute where I can... best regards, Johnfos 06:25, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for re-welcoming me to VP after my recent username change. :) Now it says the userlist is corrupt... d'oh! Can you fix it? RainbowOfLight Talk 09:26, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I'm flattered, but I don't think I'm ready for that. I've only been editing for 8 months. Ask me again after I've been here a year (Jan 22nd). IPSOS (talk) 21:59, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
