Charming Associates

Hi Snowolf,

Before you deleted the Charming Associates page I added a 'hangon' to the page as I wish to contest the deletion. Were you not aware of this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Voncrass (talkcontribs) 09:39, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Please will you get back to me on this Snowolf as I would like to work with you to get this situation rectified as soon as possible. Thanks. Voncrass (talk) 10:00, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Snowolf, you clearly have not looked into the article before deleting it. The band have a commercial release available on CD and also available through the iTunes store. They are an important group in the documentation of UK hip-hop culture. Please can you look into this a little more before making your decition so quickly? Thank you. Voncrass (talk) 10:10, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Snowolf,

Reading the requirements, can I please refer you to this...

"Important note: Failing to satisfy the notability guidelines is NOT a criterion for speedy deletion. However, an article that fails to assert that the subject of the article is important or significant can be speedily deleted under criterion A7. A mere claim of significance, even if contested, may avoid speedy deletion under A7, requiring a full proposed deletion or Article for Deletion process to determine if the article should be included in Wikipedia.

Many who spend significant time improving Wikipedia's musical coverage feel that notability is required for a musical topic (such as a band or musical theatre group) to deserve an encyclopedia article. Please note that the failure to meet any of these criteria does NOT mean an article must be deleted; conversely, meeting any of these criteria does not mean that an article must be kept. These are merely rules of thumb used by some editors when deciding whether or not to keep an article that is on articles for deletion."

Reading throught that it seems to me that the page should not have had a speedy deletion. Under A7 my claim of significance should have avoided that. I believe you should have provided an Article for Deletion.

I genuinely believe that this band is of cultural significance. Will you please work with me to sort this out without hastey deletions?Voncrass (talk) 10:59, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

I think the deletion history is part of the problem here, because it was deleted once I believe each other time I have tried to add it it has been deleted again without much consideration. Anyway, thankyou for restoring it to follow the proper procedure, It is most appreciated. Voncrass (talk) 11:18, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello Snowolf,

The Article appears to have been deleted yet again since you restored it. What is the reason for this? I was just getting around to citing things etc. Please help. 80.229.199.65 (talk) 13:11, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Beyond Sanctorum

I find your message rather rude. I DID provide a edit summary, which is more than you did. I removed a section that was obviously POV. Furthermore, upon further reflection, the section I removed also was loaded with weasel words. I shall be restoring my edit, but I also know that mine is not the final word on the matter. I certainly welcome a discussion in this matter, provided that you are capable of behaving with respect towards other editors, which your instant and thoughtless revert makes dubious. 74.234.39.218 (talk) 18:24, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

OK, thanks...I have articles for a couple of high school athletic conferences in Southern Indiana watched, so it just showed up and I was trying to figure out what the deal was...I don't really concern myself with articles getting tagged/untagged for projects I'm not a participant in; it just roused my curiosity a bit is all. I've nominated the EVE Online category for renaming

Hi, Snowolf. My name's Aexus. You are one of the editors of the EVE Online category. To comply with the trademarks guideline of the Wikipedia Manual of Style I have nominated the category to be renamed to its correctly spelled version of Eve Online. Actually the all-capitalized EVE is correct; however, it doesn't comply with the Manual of Style. In Wikipedia's terms it's therefore incorrect. I inform you of the nomination in case you disagree and want to discuss it. You can discuss it on the Categories for discussion page. Below is the according template.

Dick Masterson

How come you deleted the article I recently posted for Dick Masterson? It described his significance as a chauvinistic web author. What was wrong?
