Hi Bovine Boy,

Thank you for reaching out. So I manage Shantanu Moitras work and all the information is come from Mr. Moitra himself. Whenever I try to add a citation, Wikipedia page doesn't allow me to add the links. These links are articles from newspapers. Also, the year of birth mentioned previously (1968) is wrong hence changed that bit. In case of any clarification, please feel free to reach out. I can send you all the articles and required proof. However, please edit the page only after consultation with me. I assure you all the details provided here are verified by Shantanu Moitra himself.

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Sound Artery. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. BOVINEBOY2008 22:21, 12 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Help me!

edit

Please help me with... Hey Bovineboy,

We have been chatting on the Shantanu Moitra bit for quite sometime. I have got all the citations required for the changes to incorporated to his profile. Also the date of birth mentioned out there is wrong. How do we change it? Sound Artery (talk) 09:33, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sound Artery, I'm pinging @Bovineboy2008 so they can see your question here. Seagull123 Φ 09:40, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi Sound Artery. Because you have a stated conflict of interest with the subject, you should propose changes on the talk page. You can use {{edit request}} to make such changes. I noticed that a majority of your edits that you made were puffery and using peacocking terms like "award-winning" to inflate the importance of a topic. Remember that we must present material with a neutral point of view when you propose a change. BOVINEBOY2008 09:44, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
