Stephen J. Epstein moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Stephen J. Epstein, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~StyyxTalk? 23:01, 15 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Korean romanization page moves

edit

Hi Spacestationtrustfund, I see you have moved a significant number of pages (somewhere around 80 pages – not exact count), for example Na Hoon-aNa Huna, with the reason "More accurate/appropriate romanization."

You should be aware that you're expected to start a discussion before making a move if the move is potentially controversial, and that any editor is permitted to revert recent undiscussed moves. See WP:RM#CM for the process. Note that "controversial" means that someone could reasonably disagree, not that you yourself agree with their disagreement.

For example, replacing Park with Pak or hyphenated spellings with unhyphenated spellings because that's your preferred standard of romanization are changes that other editors could reasonably disagree with. Deciding the title of an article includes a balance of many factors, such as: whether there is an established common name for the person in English-language reliable sources; the general article title criteria; the published preferences of the person to a limited extent (see e.g. WP:BLPSELFPUB); among others. There are also guidelines such as Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Korean) which are not policy but worth considering too.

I believe you sincerely didn't expect any disagreement over your page moves, but now you know there is indeed disagreement and that the changes require consensus. (You already know this from Talk:Shin (Korean surname) as well.) Please do not continue making these moves as undiscussed moves. Adumbrativus (talk) 04:41, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
