Hallo, Please never add a stub category directly as you did here. Use the appropriate stub template, which adds both the category and the stub message: {{cryptocurrency-stub}} here. I've fixed it. PamD 08:15, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Greetings,

In referenced to your above stated good faith edit, I discussed nuances of 'Forensic and Medico legal terminology with couple of copy editors from Women in Red Project and we came to tentative conclusion that specific term 'medico−legal' seems more apt in given context. Points are briefly listed in following given table for your perusal and inputs if any from your side. You can also support us by copy editing following information. Looking forward to you response.

Thanks and warm regards

Bookku, 'Encyclopedias = expanding information & knowledge' (talk) 09:07, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Medical examination of Ayesha Akram,..., was completed at Nawaz Sharif Teaching Hospital.( dunyanews.tv)[1] The victim was brought to a hospital in Lahore on Thursday* for medico-legal examination.( samaaenglish.tv)[2] The Punjab government released Friday the medical examination report of the victim which confirmed details of the injuries she sustained after being assaulted.(Geo TV).[3]
According to a medico- legal report, the victim was found to have dozens of bruises and scratches on the body including her chest, waist, legs and elbow besides inflammation on the neck and hands.[1][4]
  • *Date of Incidence Saturday, 14 August 2021; Date of medico legal examination: Thursday 19 August 2021, Date of medico legal report Friday 19 August 2021
Nuanced differences in terminology of 'Forensic' and 'Medico legal'
Forensic Medico legal
  • General nuances
1 Term includes general applications other than Medico Legal too like Digital Forensic report

Usage of general term Forensic without mentioning Clinical Forensic can introduce ambiguity which forensic one is talking about?

Specific meant for Medico legal
2 Even within Clinical Forensic What an assistant expert prepares report is technically scientific thus forensic but until designated authority would not sign will not get legal status Report attains legal admissibility only on signature of designated authority
3 Even within Clinical Forensic at times forensic expert can provide interim information report to investigative agencies to facilitate investigation, though such interim information reports are forensic, can not be considered legally admissible until final final report is authoritatively signed Medico legal report attains sanctity of legal admissibility (though remains open to cross examination during legal proceeding and unless struck down by court Medico legal report is considered factual)
4 Term Forensic report is used more in case of deceased because body is subjected to detail examination for autopsy In many assault cases where victim is alive mere physical examination of the victim by expert can be sufficient so report by designated doctor are considered Medico legal
5 This article from the World Health Organization, indicates that a forensic examination is only part of the process to create a MLE report which also includes examination of social services, police investigation, and legal systems. (page 1)
  • Pakistan Specific
6 Pakistan media seem to be using 'medico–legal' usually for physical examination of assault victims (including non sexual assaults) by authorized medical doctor. For digital and DNA exams they seem to be using term 'forensic examination', The difference is probably because laws use term 'medico–legal' for assault related physical examination. Of the six news reports surveyed for Minar e Pakistan case by me 4 use word 'medico-legal' and two use wording just 'medical examination".

My perception is though report is prepared by authorized medical doctor (in south Asia it's generally in Government hospitals) wording is 'medico–legal' is used since such doctor's report is as per legal process, creates obligations on Investigative agencies and acceptable and admissible to judiciary as reliable evidence.

7 On Nov. 2020 Express Tribune news report provides following information:
  • The revised guidelines state that the medico-legal examination (MLE) of the survivor should only be undertaken on the judicial order under the Women Protection Act 2006 and after written consent obtained from the survivor or her parents/guardians if she is under 18-years of age. The examination also can only be done by an authorised women medical officer. (WMO).[5]

Requesting your inputs to above points and copy edit support to above comparison points if possible.

@Bookku: Your and the people from WP:Women in Red arguments for the use of the term "medico-legal" instead of "forensic examination" in the 2021 Minar-e-Pakistan mass sexual assault article are perfectly reasonable and justifiable and I accept the planned replacement of the term whole-heartedly. I made an accidental mistake in changing that term, and I accept the planned change. I will change the wording as soon as I can. Just for curiosity's sake, can you give me the link to the conversation you had with WP:Women in Red members? Just want to see how you and the members came to a consensus. If that is not possible, that is okay. ShiriEditsTalk 09:45, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team GA review

Hi ShiriEdits - I saw your query regarding reviewing a GA nomination (GAN). I'll walk you through the review. First thing you need to do is go to Talk:Mario & Luigi: Dream Team/GA1, and beneath all the text on that page, make a comment saying that you are going to do the review, and sign it. There is advice here on reviewing: Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations/Instructions#Reviewing. It helps to use a template - you can select one from here: Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations/templates. A good one is {{GATable}}, which when pasted looks like this:

Rate Attribute Review Comment
1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose).
2c. it contains no original research.
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism.
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic.
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
  4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
  5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content.
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
  7. Overall assessment.

Using a template helps keep you focused on the GA criteria. When you have make a comment on the nomination page, and are ready to start the review, I'll talk you through how to do the review itself. The aim would in general be to have the review done in seven days (often quicker, sometimes a bit longer if the article is complex), and then either pass it (rare to pass without some quibble, but it has been known), fail it (very rare - the article would need to be in a very bad state to quick fail it), or - as is usual, put it on hold for seven days to allow the nominator (and/or anyone else) to work on it to address the issues you have raised. The seven days is a guide - you can hold the review open for longer. However, what is clear is that you need to be available to work on the review for at least two weeks. I have the review page and your talkpage watchlisted, so I should see when you edit. My email is enabled, so you can email me at any time. I am in the UK time zone, which appears to be different to yours, though you do edit between 9 and 12 GMT, so we can chat live then. SilkTork (talk) 15:55, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Well, I see you have started the review. I take it that you don't wish for any advice. I'll take the article and your talkpage off my watchlist, but I'm here if you need me. Just ping. SilkTork (talk) 08:36, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
@SilkTork: Oh hi, sorry if I started the review early. I had a lot of time to spare (it's summer in the Philippines right now) and decided to start the GA review early. Sorry if I didn't wait for you. ShiriEditsTalk 09:20, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
That's fine. Give me a shout if you're unsure about anything, or if you want me to look over the review. SilkTork (talk) 09:23, 11 May 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lourdes Evangelista-Castro

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lourdes Evangelista-Castro requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://globalnation.inquirer.net/20861/lourdes-castro-1926-2011-the-story-of-a-rare-and-great-hero. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fram (talk) 09:21, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
