WP:FILMPLOT

edit

Please read WP:FILMPLOT before continuing to edit Scoob!. I understand you may be frustrated with me for pointing it out, but that is not a reason to continue to put the plot summary slightly over the limit. If you have any concerns, I'm happy to discuss them here, but please do not continue making petty edits that affects how the entire world can see that article just because you don't like me pointing out a policy.   Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Scoob! does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:58, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

WP:FILMPLOT

edit

Hello, I would highly recommend reading WP:FILMPLOT, which specifies that summaries need to be between 400-700 words. I understand you feel some of these things are important, but many of your added plot points are hardly explored at all in the film (i.e. Shaggy trying to make friends but not being able to), and others are overly wordy ("small, scary, overly hostile scorpion-esque robots called Rottens"). Specifically, WP:FILMPLOT reads Plot summaries for feature films should be between 400 and 700 words. The summary should not exceed the range unless the film's structure is unconventional, such as with non-linear storylines, or unless the plot is too complicated to summarize in this range. (Discuss with other editors to determine if a summary cannot be contained within the proper range.) There doesn't seem to be anything unconventional about this film's structure. I'm happy to discuss it if you feel differently, but simply reverting any addition anyone makes to your plot summaries isn't going to fly here as Wikipedia is a collaborative project. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for disruptive editing. You appear to have a lengthy history of disruptive behaviour. And looking at your recent edit history, it seems to me that you do not understand what the community expects articles to look like, since you still add poor sources, like IMDb, you add trivia to articles, you add needlessly wordy content to film plots, etc. Based on this, I have concerns that you have the required competency to edit at Wikipedia, and I am interrupting your editing privileges to prevent damage to the encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:06, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
