I have no idea whether I am now writing to 'SriMesh'??

If I AM, hoorah. I am a fellow Canadian, West Coast at that, living on an island, in the woods...:) Had huge problems as a Wiki Newbie yesterday, trying to write and create my first 'Listing' discussing my Woodburning Stove Innovation. All seemed wasted, since it was deleted. I need some encouragement to persist and need HELP indeed. I run a Portal: ????? and a Blog: ??????

I look forward to your response, hoping that your REAL life will allow you some time to help; if not I'll go 'phising' for someone else. Please let me know.

Website using images

Hello again! I've found yet another website using images from Wikipedia/Wikimedia - yours and mine among them - without giving proper attribution. I'm going to contact them regarding my own images. You might want to do the same for your own - I'm not sure how widespead their copying is. --Drm310 (talk) 15:20, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Just a small update - the website owner contacted me, and he's put attribution on my pictures. You should still review some of them to make sure he's done the same for you. He was very quick and courteous about it. --Drm310 (talk) 01:30, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

Message in illustrations program

Again my apologies, this time slightly altered. I have finally figured out again how to bring illustrations as of course we both have amply done in the past. This time it was a by-now ancient photo of mine of the remote high school in the New Guinea hignlands where I was deputy headmaster many years ago. In due course I shall doubtless recover how to adjust the size of such contributions to an article. If in the slightest interested, here: File:Ambum Valley, Enga PNG where I was vice principle.jpg -- rather stupid to describe the photo exactly that way, though truthful. Speedy deletion nomination of Joan Givner

Just got notification that the small article I just wrote on this extensively published author and long-time University of Regina faculty member is going to be deleted. Any idea why that would happen and what I might say in response? Masalai (talk) 11:11, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Ah. Possibly form this -- "(diff | hist) . . Joan Givner‎; 10:42 . . (-13) . . Kudpung (talk | contribs)‎ (Declinnig CSD A7 - possibly notable academic)" -- my concern may have been quite unnecessary. Masalai (talk) 11:29, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Photos in the "Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan" article

Greetings. For some reason these have become a dreadful mess, currently beyond my capacity sensibly to fix up. Any chance of your lending a hand, without deleting any of them? Sorry to intrude with so stupid a query but you have so often been so terrific in precisely this sort of thing. Masalai (talk) 12:41, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Ah no, never mind. Figured out again how to attend to it. Masalai (talk) 01:56, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Indented line

Greeting again. I earnestly hope that your current busy-ness is releaved such that you can at least for a moment return to attention here! I acquired and inserted four photos in the article on Fort Qu'Appelle. Alas, the text of the article is thus far too brief for there to be room for them illustrating any discussion of history. So I put the four in a "gallery" section. However, I goofed that, and they are weirdly spaced. Any chance of your taking a brief look and doubtless having a solution instantly? Please and thank you.Masalai (talk) 08:17, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Scotia Centre Mall (Saskatoon)

The article Scotia Centre Mall (Saskatoon) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I cannot find sufficient notable independent, substantive, multiple RS coverage of the notability of this 16-store mall on gnews or gbooks.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi! I first tweaked the Wikipedia:WikiProject Museums/Guideline sequence, which wound up reverted fairly quickly, so now there's an active discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Museums/Guideline about the sequence of sections. You are invited and encouraged to chime in. Please also see the discussion about consolidating several sections which tend to be especially brief. -- ke4roh (talk) 03:13, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Adopt-a-user

Hi SriMesh. I'm leaving you this message because you have previously been involved as an adopter with Wikipedia's Adopt-a-user program. A clean-up of this program is currently underway, and as part of the process I am trying to find out who is and isn't still interested in remaining an adopter.

If you would prefer not to be part of the adoption program anymore, you need do nothing; when the overhaul of the project is completed your name will be removed from the list of active adopters. However, if you have current adoptees, an active adoption school or an interest in adopting in the near future, then please let us know by signing here.

If you want to remain in the project and can currently take on more adoptees, there is a serious backlog at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user; it would be enormously helpful if you could take on one or two of the users there. Please do keep an eye on the project for upcoming changes, we could use your opinions and your help! Yunshui  09:21, 19 September 2012 (UTC)

Some time ago someone deleted the section of photos of Regina in the top right-hand corner. I can't seem to bring back to mind how to restore it, with substitution for the one objected to previously for copyright reasons. Any chance of your grabbing a moment to deal with that? Here are a few from which to choose for the substitution, but if you have a better one, by all means use that. Best regards, as ever.

WikiCup 2013 February newsletter

Round 1 is now over. The top 64 scorers have progressed to round 2, where they have been randomly split into eight pools of eight. At the end of April, the top two from each pool, as well as the 16 highest scorers from those remaining, will progress to round 3. Commiserations to those eliminated; if you're interested in still being involved in the WikiCup, able and willing reviewers will always be needed, and if you're interested in getting involved with other collaborative projects, take a look at the WikiWomen's Month discussed below.

Round 1 saw 21 competitors with over 100 points, which is fantastic; that suggests that this year's competition is going to be highly competative. Our lower scores indicate this, too: A score of 19 was required to reach round 2, which was significantly higher than the 11 points required in 2012 and 8 points required in 2011. The score needed to reach round 3 will be higher, and may depend on pool groupings. In 2011, 41 points secured a round 3 place, while in 2012, 65 was needed. Our top three scorers in round 1 were:

  1.   Sturmvogel_66 (submissions), primarily for an array of warship GAs.
  2.   Miyagawa (submissions), primarily for an array of did you knows and good articles, some of which were awarded bonus points.
  3.   Casliber (submissions), due in no small part to Canis Minor, a featured article awarded a total of 340 points. A joint submission with   Keilana (submissions), this is the highest scoring single article yet submitted in this year's competition.

Other contributors of note include:

Featured topics have still played no part in this year's competition, but once again, a curious contribution has been offered by   The C of E (submissions): did you know that there is a Shit Brook in Shropshire? With April Fools' Day during the next round, there will probably be a good chance of more unusual articles...

March sees the WikiWomen's History Month, a series of collaborative efforts to aid the women's history WikiProject to coincide with Women's History Month and International Women's Day. A number of WikiCup participants have already started to take part. The project has a to-do list of articles needing work on the topic of women's history. Those interested in helping out with the project can find articles in need of attention there, or, alternatively, add articles to the list. Those interested in collaborating on articles on women's history are also welcome to use the WikiCup talk page to find others willing to lend a helping hand. Another collaboration currently running is an an effort from WikiCup participants to coordinate a number of Easter-themed did you know articles. Contributions are welcome!

A few final administrative issues. From now on, submission pages will need only a link to the article and a link to the nomination page, or, in the case of good article reviews, a link to the review only. See your submissions' page for details. This will hopefully make updating submission pages a little less tedious. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. College Park Mall

Malls can be notable so long as there are sources. For instance, Bay City Mall isn't that big, and 1991 isn't that old for a mall, but it's had plenty of coverage. Whereas Mall de las Aguilas in Eagle Pass, Texas gets only four hits on Google News even though it's roughly the same size and nearly a decade older. If you can find some stuff on College Park in the local newspaper, that's always a good start. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 21:20, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Thank you most kindly for deleting this article. It was made for a request for shopping mall articles on wikipedia, but it is not too notable, I agree. SriMesh | talk 02:43, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
