Hi! I noticed you added a website to the References and further reading of the Wikipedia Herman Melville article. I also noted that your user name is very close to the 1st listed editor of the website you added, melvillesmarginalia.org/ Melville's Marginalia Online. It is better practice for an editor closely associated with such a website to make a suggestion on the talk page of the article rather than directly make the addition. This website is a useful addition. Someone should have added it anyway, and it does not mater much whether that someone is himself involved with the website or not, because of its scholarly nature.MackyBeth (talk) 18:35, 29 November 2013 (UTC)

I agree with the comments following my initial post. The value of the website and the nature of the contributor's relationship to it outweigh any possible conflict. I was too quick to judge.
