editGreetings
editHi Stephen, how's it going? I'm heading off to Sweden tomorrow, just finishing up my packing. Then I'll be back for a few days before summer camp. --John Lunney 15:33, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
I never heard about the World Jamboree, how was it? Are you gonna be doing Beavers with Tina? Do you enjoy it? Sweden's amazing, now that the weather's improved. Went on a boat trip around Stockholm today. Beautiful! --John Lunney 22:13, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
If you want to move Dingle then please submitt a request, please do not cut and paste. Djegan 15:51, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- Please also note that all three steps at Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting potentially controversial moves need to be completed successfully. If you are not sure what to do Wikipedia:Irish_Wikipedians'_notice_board#News_.28please_update_as_needed.29 maybe the place to request assistance. I will not be supporting a move. Djegan 16:16, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- It is customary that the nominating person for a move writes and introduction as to why they think the move should be supported, best place is at the top of the section Talk:Dingle#Requested_move. Djegan 16:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded
editThanks for uploading Image:Nokia 6280 closed.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Nokia 6820 closed.JPG. The copy called Image:Nokia 6820 closed.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 11:30, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

editOrphaned non-free media (Image:Zunesyncnew.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Zunesyncnew.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:02, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Weldom, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Weldom satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Weldom and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Weldom during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Kwsn (Ni!) 18:01, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

edit"Incorrect spelling of Gaeilge"
editHey Stephen, What do you mean by the incorrect spelling of Gaeilge? In some places, the "incorrect" spellings may be justified because they were in use before the Caighdeán Oifigiúil (Official Standard). For example, in the name of the Patrick S. Dinneen dictionary, "Foclóir Gaedhilge agus Béarla".

iTunes article
editReverted your edit to the iTunes article since it duplicated the "features" section. (No harm done - I've made this mistake before!) I think I kept your edit the way you wanted it, though, so check back and make sure everything is okay with it. Graymornings (talk) 01:45, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

NowCommons: File:IrishTimesLogo.png
editFile:IrishTimesLogo.png is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:IrishTimesLogo.png. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:IrishTimesLogo.png]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:27, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Notification of automated file description generation
editYour upload of File:Ascaill Naomh Pádraigcrop.jpeg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity
editHello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
The file File:Stephen.PNG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
