Re: Disklavier
editHello - thanks for the message. On April 17, the article was reported to Wikipedia:Copyright problems as a copyright violation. I investigated and found the allegations to be true.
The article was copied from several Yamaha sites and manuals, including here, here, here, and this page, among several others. There was not a clean version (free of copyrighted material) in the article's history, so I was left with no choice but to delete the article and start over.
For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
Also, it is not a good idea to leave your email address anywhere on Wikipedia, as the entire site is crawled by Google and can remain available in Google's cache indefinitely. I've removed your email address from my talk page. Instead, when you post to user talk and article talk pages, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
Thanks again for the message. Happy editing - KrakatoaKatie 22:45, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- No problem - we need an article on the instrument, and it's unfortunate that lazy editors simply copied Yamaha's material. If you have questions or need help, please let me know. And I see you weren't properly welcomed to the project, so here you go... :-)
Welcome

Your edits to articles related to Yamaha - May 2009
editIf you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Yamaha Artist Services, Inc.. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you.Voceditenore (talk) 22:58, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Yamaha Artist has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not a notable concept - cannot find evidence of notability separate from Yamaha as a company.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Ganesha811 (talk) 18:12, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
