Proposed deletion of Stephan Puetz
editThe article Stephan Puetz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Currently fails WP:NMMA as M-1 Global is a second-tier MMA promotion.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JTtheOG (talk) 03:33, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
WBO (Super) / Joe Calzaghe
editGreetings. Per this edit, the WBO has actually had their own "Super" titles over the past decade or so: [1]. In fact, Sergey Kovalev is one of the current holders of that title – [2] – and Bernard Hopkins and Juan Manuel Márquez come to mind as previous holders; it's highly likely that Calzaghe was also "upgraded" at some point. Unfortunately, the WBO doesn't seem to have kept a list. I have therefore asked the IP to provide a source regarding the dates when Calzaghe held it, but assuming no response, then you were indeed correct in reverting their edit. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:02, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
- Just found two sources explicitly stating that Calzaghe was indeed WBO "Super" champion: [3], [4]. Only problem is, it's still rather hazy as to when exactly he was granted that recognition. The IP has put down 2002, but the earliest I could find was 2004 (the first source). Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:11, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
