Version Deletion
Hi Suraj, This is Kamal. Last night I had editted the Thambatty page. Request you to let me know why you had reverted the version. Let me know the mistake that I did, so that the same mistake would not be commited again in the future.
-- Rgds, Kamal Kamleein (talk) 10:11, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hello Kamal. Welcome to Wikipedia. I am very glad to explain to you about editing Wikipedia. The following are few of the things you need to consider to add materials or create an article here:
- The material you add must be sourced (For more info see WP:V). I know that some of what you added regarding Thambatti are true because I have been to the village (I'm from Ooty by the way). But the facts must be Verifiabile, not true. You need to provide sources like newspaper articles or published books etc. (For more info see WP:SOURCES). If you can find such sources you can add the material in your own words (not directly copied and pasted) and the the source (say http://www.hindu.com/2011/02/18/stories/2011021852080500.htm) should be added within <ref> and </ref> after the facts. (like this: HADP sponsored schemes were inspected in Achanakkal<ref>http://www.hindu.com/2011/02/18/stories/2011021852080500.htm</ref>).
- Also read WP:Five pillars before starting editing other articles. Happy editing. Suraj T 10:40, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

Disambiguation link notification for March 16
Hi. When you recently edited Perturb and observe method, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Current (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Articles redundant with Maximum power point tracking
The articles Perturb and observe method, Incremental conductance method, and Constant voltage method contain no information not already given in context in Maximum power point tracking. The discussion there gives all three methods and compares and contrasts them in context. These concepts are peculiar to the context of solar panel maximum power point tracking and don't have any notable uses outside of that context. The user is not well served by additional repetitions of the material that don't give any additional information not already in the main article. I tagged all three articles as candidates for merging in mid February and saw no comments, so in line with WP:BOLD I merged them. You have yet to offer any reason to keep individual articles on these topics aside from a suggestion that some day, they might grow. Well enough, but they have not grown in the 8 months they've been here and since these are highly specialized topics not likely to be greatly expanded in a general encyclopedia, I think they are better served by sections within the main Maximum power point tracking article where they serve a useful purpose to the reader. --Wtshymanski (talk) 16:34, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- I object to the merging based on your points. The individual articles do have more info than what is or can be added to MPPT. And the reason I did not comment to the merging was I did not notice it till you moved. Suraj T 05:56, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- Again, if you have a lot of extra material to add to these sections of Maximum power point tracking, why not add it there? These ideas have no *meaning* apart from their application to MPPT, they are not concepts individually notable enough outside that context to warrant individual articles. We can run them through AFD if you like, but that's a lot of bureacracy to ratify a simple straightforward merge. --Wtshymanski (talk) 20:08, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
