Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Susan Steinberg (author) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Susan Steinberg (author) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DTptC7DaIQ) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 13:42, 30 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Susansteinberg. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. As you are the subject, you must refrain from editing the article yourself and request changes via the talk page. Praxidicae (talk) 01:24, 28 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

January 2020

edit

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Praxidicae (talk) 01:37, 28 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

On birthyear

edit

Hello! Not sure this will help, but to the regular Wikipedians, including the birthyear is not a problem here. It is to "err on the side of caution" per WP:BLPPRIVACY, and there are plenty of sources that on the face of it looks reliable: [1][2][3][4]. Having the full birthdate without a good source would be a problem (and it happens). Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:47, 28 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Help Me

edit

Please remove the birth year from the page on me. It was removed and now someone has put it on the page twice. This is happening to women writers on your site. This is personal information and I would like it deleted.Susansteinberg (talk) 06:15, 16 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Please see WP:BLPHELP first. Otherwise, see this. If you do the latter, PLEASE read the instructions carfully. I perfer if you read WP:BLPHELP first. Generally, per WP:BLPPRIVACY, the year alone is not a concern. {{replyto}} Can I Log In's (talk) page 18:10, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
