Retrocausality edits

When I looked over your edits, I was first struck by changing the wording of a quote. Since I had made the same mistake recently, I went to check what the source said and restored the exact language used.

After looking at the rest more carefully, it seemed to me that your edits were largely made to turn technical language into something more accessible, but in doing so sometimes changed the meaning in a way that lost something of the original.

I invite you to look again. The hyphen in no-communication theorem saves a redirect and would be a style improvement.  —jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 21:42, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

Orphan tagging

Hi. Please read this before you add this tag to any further articles. The criteria clearly states "only place the Orphan tag if the article has zero incoming links". Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:33, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Removing tags

Hi, Jacob,

Before removing tags, such as {{Cleanup-bare URLs}}, be sure that you have properly completed the work required by the tag.

Also, when there is a {{Multiple issues}} tag, and you remove all but one issue, then remove the {{Multiple issues}} tag. Be sure you also remove the "}}" at the end as well.

Proposed deletion of Backstreet Billiards

The article Backstreet Billiards has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

One source files not for notability make

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi Wyskoj. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but you do not yet have sufficent experience and knowledge of policies to be patrolling and tagging pages. Please consider patrolling for vandalism in stead. Happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:26, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (August 15)

I received your update on Draft:The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.

Can you show me which information in the article particular is:

  • A. "not adequately supported by reliable sources"
  • B. is likely to be challenged (information unlikely to be challenged isn't normally cited!)

That way I can address them promptly. I was not the original author of the article, but I think it's important to show exactly what needs to be done rather than simply giving a vague "not adequately supported by reliable sources". WhisperToMe (talk) 06:06, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

Update: I am aware some pieces of information are "fact tagged" - Having said that I think the article should be passed if it meets the standards of WP:GNG (the very basis in which articles are be judged for suitability) and/or another notability standard (as long as it's not copyvio/a clear advertisement), and that anything uncited can simply be pruned away after being promoted, rather than setting the article back with another unnecessary delay WhisperToMe (talk) 06:12, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

Okay, I declined it because some information was not referenced, so I didn't want to have information that was not sourced. I can submit the submission now. --wyskojtalk 06:21, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
Yes please. Thank you very much :) WhisperToMe (talk) 06:48, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

AfC

Hi. I'm just letting you know that I have removed your access to the AfC Helper Script. Please do not patroll or review pages, your editing history demonstrates that you do not have sufficient experience for these tasks. We need help combating vandalism, perhaps you might wish to consider helping out there. Learn more about it at WP:CVU. Thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:43, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Gramë Lake

Hello SweetCanadianMullet. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Gramë Lake, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Almost certainly copied from Wikipedia, not the other way round. See [REDACTED] :" free online article enciclopedia based on information from free Internet sourses in english language" [sic]. Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 06:31, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

August 2016

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Cat's Eye (1985 film). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been undone.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please be more careful with your editing. I note several issues here within the past month, and in this specific case you removed proper changes to the article. DonIago (talk) 14:04, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi SweetCanadianMullet,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, SweetCanadianMullet. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

Your draft article, Draft:Pipe Scream (Thrill Ride)

Hello, SweetCanadianMullet. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Pipe Scream".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. 1989 (talk) 02:02, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

Raj Kishore Singh

Hello, you tagged the above article as CSD:A7 even though the article said that the subject was a member of the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly, which is a credible claim of notability meeting WP:POLITICIAN. Please review notability guidelines before tagging pages. Also, 2 minutes is usually far too soon to be adding A7 tags to articles as editors will still be working on them. 17:51:01, 3 February 2017 review of submission by Crabstand81

Hey Jacob,(love the user name, big fan of mullets myself hahaha) Hope your having an awesome day man, just wanted to hit you up on this article I just created.

I went back in and found a transcript from an Entertainment tonight/ insider article as well as referencing an ABC piece on the actor, as well as trying to clarify sources. Also tried to clarify the actors position on both the show "banshee" and "quarry" as series regular roles and not "minor" roles. Hope this helps to show "credible" sources and actors importance. Hope this helps

Hope you have an awesome day! Let me know if you need anything from me.

Request on 15:00:20, 9 February 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by JWKelly

I was very premature in submitting this article. Im still figuring out how your ((not to easy to use)) website works and how togo about writing and editing articles. It will take some time before I am able to submit any of the theories I have in mind. This is simply a first draft I sketched at the library in a few minutes. I will undoubtedly have months to go before the Draft is ready for proof.

Thanks for looking though!!!

JWKelly (talk) 15:00, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited XS Junior League Football, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SCEA. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:22, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi SweetCanadianMullet. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 21:22, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Attempted hijack

You reverted my attempt to reverse an attempted hijack of Bigpond by Telstra Media. THe article is about the Bigpond broadband product which has been subsumed by Telstra proper, not Telstra Media. This is explained in the article. Pls refer / contribute to the talk page. thanks. RogerM1975 (talk) 21:10, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
