Good article nomination for Moonlighting protein

edit

Hi. Concerning promoting the Moonlighting protein to good article status, I think we are getting close, but it will require more work. In particular, Italienmoose (talk · contribs) has stated "of the well documented examples of moonlighting proteins causing disease, there is only one example provided" and I concure that the clinical significance section needs expansion. In addition, Ruhrfisch (talk · contribs) has also listed some very helpful suggestions that should be addressed. I have already addressed some of the suggestions, but there are remaining issues that need to be addressed. Cheers. Boghog (talk) 21:07, 7 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Before nominating this article for GA status, I think we should seriously consider merging Gene sharing into Moonlighting protein. This is a loose end that is likely to be raised in the GA review. In addition Ruhrfisch (talk · contribs) questioned whether the article is comprehensive/long enough. Merging in the material from Gene sharing which has a fairly extensive discussion of crystallin proteins would go a long way of improving the comprehensive of the moonlighting article. Boghog (talk) 10:57, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

My instructor and my group is opposed to a merge for 2 weeks. Seehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Moonlighting_protein#MergeSwmmr1928 talk 02:50, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Then I think nominating this article for GA status will also need to be put on hold. Boghog (talk) 04:44, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: Infobox vs. sidebar

edit

Infoboxes are the right-aligned elements at the top of many articles that feature an image and things like the name of a video game, the occupation of a person, or the date a work was completed, et al. I use the term "sidebar" to refer to the project-specific element to the right of the talk page on WT:VG. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 19:29, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
