How you can help

Hi @Bagumba:, thank you for the welcome. I uploaded three images to Wikimedia Commons but they were all resized by another user after I posted, if I crop an image is there a guideline on the correct way to post it? I was only able to update one of the articles due to my account not being confirmed yet.

Thank you, --Tagstt (talk) 05:52, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm not a Commons expert, but I think they wanted the original to make it easier to verify that it's the same image that's licensed. That aside, I usually upload the original first, and make the crop a different file. That way, anyone that wants a different crop can just use CropTool on the original and doesn't need to go through uploading and getting the license verified again.—Bagumba (talk) 06:14, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'll take that into account next time, thank you. Hopefully the Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler photos I uploaded get used also. Tagstt (talk) 06:16, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
