editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rt. Rev. Innocent Uchechukwu Ordu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.worldanglican.com/nigeria/port-harcourt/the-church-of-nigeria-anglican-communion/the-rt-revd-innocent-ordu. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Cabayi (talk) 09:53, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- Please note that we don't use people's titles in the titles of the articles, Draft:Innocent Ordu would be a good place to start again, in your own words. Take a look at Justin Welby to guide you. Hope that helps, Cabayi (talk) 09:57, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

- I'm really disappointed. After yesterday's false start I thought, when I saw you'd started a second version, that you'd have taken on board the message about observing copyright. But no. You just copied text from your other source, and copied a copyright photo, File:Bishop Ordu.jpg from thenewwinechurch.org.
- Pay attention to copyright, or you may find your account blocked, and any further attempts to create Ordu's biography blocked too. Cabayi (talk) 08:30, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
The Article Belongs to me
edit"The Article Belongs to me" -
- If you mean the Wikipedia article, no it doesn't - WP:OWN.
- If you mean the article you copied from dioceseofevo.org, how do we know that? We have an obligation to respect copyright because Wikipedia allows anybody to take and use material they find here. We can't do that if we allow copyright material to be uploaded. So, prove its yours - WP:DCM.
- Even if you wish to donate the text, is it something Wikipedia wants to receive? Text written for the bishop's bio on the diocese website is not likely to be the tone of an encyclopedia article. It'll need to be rewritten anyway. It's easier in the long run to just rewrite it in a more encyclopedic tone. Cabayi (talk) 08:58, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
The article Innocent Ordu has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Kb03 (talk) 21:08, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
- Talk2nyeche, this latest version is much better. I have no doubt that Ordu is notable but you need to show that with reliable, verifiable, independent sources. The source you added is not independent and should not have been used as justification for removing the WP:BLPPROD. Please provide more & better references. Cabayi (talk) 11:36, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry. In their own words "World Anglican.com is a global directory", it's not significant coverage. WP:V has more hints on what's needed. Has nobody outside his church noticed him? Cabayi (talk) 13:23, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- The nigerianmonitor.com reference supports the fact that he's a bishop but says nothing about his personal life - unless you're reading "We have been forced into a marriage that is hurting us" as a comment about his own marriage, which I'm sure isn't what he intended. References should be placed after the facts they support - Wikipedia:Inline citation - and not in the section headers as it makes deep linking a nightmare... Innocent Ordu#Personal life works well, Special:Permalink/886759933#Personal life works, but Special:Permalink/886758817#Personal life does not, and the wiki-software hasn't got a clue what to make of [[Special:Permalink/886758817#Personal life[3]]], or [[Special:Permalink/886758817#Personal life[3]]]. Even if it did work, the section name would change every time someone added another ref above that point in the article, and the link would break.
- However, the source itself meets all the requirements so removing the BLPPROD was OK.
- Since you're citing it, Nigerian Monitor could do with an article.
- Happy editing, Cabayi (talk) 10:35, 8 March 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of O.C.J. Okocha
editHello Talk2nyeche,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged O.C.J. Okocha for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
