Regarding edits made to The Bucket Fountain

edit

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Tanifa! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule flickr\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. Notification of automated file description generation

edit

Your upload of File:Bucketfountain mud.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Wikipedian at Large grant proposal needs volunteers and endorsements

edit

Hi Brenda! I'm currently applying for a reasonably large Wikimedia Foundation grant to support a year of Wikipedian in Residence postings at a wide (and growing) range of institutions throughout the country. The grant has just gone live: NZ Wikipedian at Large

Would you be interested in helping as a volunteer with any of residencies or events – at the moment they'll just be in the four main centres? If so, you can add yourself using the Volunteer button and say what you'd be keen to do Also, If you think a "Wikipedian at Large" is a good idea, please do write a short endorsement, especially since you've previously participated in an event I've run. A vote of confidence from the Wikipedia community will make a big difference to the grant's success.

Many thanks! —Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 01:12, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Waikino school shooting moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Waikino school shooting, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Miramar peninsula

edit

Hi there, and apologies if this message doesn't work properly. I took the Evans Bay Power station off the Miramar Peninsula page because it wasn't on the peninsula - it was at the head of Evans Bay, on the isthmus. What do you think? Does it really belong on the MP page? Wainuiomartian (talk) 03:57, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

it was at the roundabout below the Wellywood sign -- definitely it's on the Peninsula - it was named after the bay that it discharged to - the name that was later used for a suburb but it means the whole bay. Tanifa (talk) 06:04, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
i also want to move the fall of Rangitatau back into the timeline - it was a massive event, displacing a whole iwi and removing the last pa from the peninsula. without it the timeline just goes "lots of Maori here" and then suddenly there's pakeha farmers. I have sent you a note about a page you started

edit

Hi Tanifa. Thank you for your work on Pikauterangi. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for adding this page for an important 18th century Māori tribal leader. The sources are sparse, which is not surprising. However, given this, it would be helpful if the key book reference was given a chapter or page reference range that supports the cited material.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
