It has to be the owner of the copyright ie likely the photographer @aurorasos13 who should license the reuse of this image under any of these licenses. If the copyright holder of the image does add any of these licenses to the instagram image and if you then let me know this license has been obtained, I will be able to download the image from instagram and reuse it in Wikicommons. Musical instrument photography grant
editHi, in today's Wellington meetup under Future events you mention adding events to the campaign dashboard, does that include my little grant for taking photos of instruments next weekend? It's not really an "event" but seems like the kind of thing we should track. In general, I'm not sure what I should be doing/creating/writing to document what I've been doing, but it's relatively straightforward and I've made some notes under my user page at Photography grant. Do I create a program? If so, was the grant from 2023-24 or 2024-25? — Jon (talk) 22:21, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Jon, the campaign dashboard is really intended for multi person events but you can create an event just for yourself adding images to Wikicommons etc to track your metrics such as the number of images uploaded to Wikicommons for your project. If you do decide to do this here's the How To instructions that should give you all the information you need. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs_%26_Events_Dashboard You can find more information under the "starting new programmes" section of this link https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs_%26_Events_Dashboard/Using_the_Dashboard If you create your dashboard you can add the overarching Campaign Dashboard July 2024 - June 2025 to your event dashboard as your event dashboard would fall within this. The adding of the NZ campaign dashboard can happen even after you've created your dashboard. To see where the New Zealand overarching campaign should appear have a look at this image at the bottom of the details box https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Course_with_delete_button.png. Hope this helps! Ambrosia10 (talk) 22:53, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

Wikimania and nature ladies
editOmg! I was editing an oak gall wasp page (Andricus confertus), added a reference by Mary Isabel McCracken, was thrilled to find there was a Wikipedia article on her, went all the way back in the history to send thanks to the person who made it, and then decided to look at their userpage, and it's you! I just watched your presentation from Wikimania, because as I've been learning about gall wasps, I've noticed how involved women were in the early years of collecting, rearing, and studying these insects. I'm hoping to get more visibility on these women at some point. Thank you for all your work in this sphere.
EponineBunnyKickQueen (talk) 06:55, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- This is so kind of you! Thank YOU for doing work on gall wasps, I find them fascinating. And I love that you are working on women, as so many are so under appreciated. Good luck at getting more visibility for these women and let me know if you have any issues or need help. Ambrosia10 (talk) 19:55, 12 September 2024 (UTC)

Welcoming new users
editKia ora Siobhan, when you welcome new users, could you please use {{subst:welcome-nz}} ~~~~ to generate the Kiwi-specific welcome? It points to this template. If you use Twinkle, you can install that template as the default welcome; hit me up on how to do that if Twinkle is your thing. Schwede66 03:19, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, I will attempt to next time. I think I was overwhelmed with all the tasks I was doing for the editathon and just picked the easiest template to find at the time. I'll include this in our advice for our report about the editathon and suggest we add that as an specific administrative task assigned to someone not presenting and training, including it in tasks such as ensuring folk are added to the dashboard. Alternatively it could be done after the event when it isn't quite so pressured. Ambrosia10 (talk) 03:33, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- No trouble. It's not a biggie; I just wanted to ensure that you know about the template. Schwede66 04:20, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
editHello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:30, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
