Hi Telepatty -- I don't see any justification for your edits, and I am going to revert them for now. If you can explain why you are removing material, and why you believe that neurologists cannot perform surgery, please do so at Talk:Neurology before making changes to the article. Regards, Looie496 (talk) 18:08, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- Looie496, the article says as much. --Una Smith (talk) 14:44, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
- Una, at the time I wrote this I was quite open to the possibility of the edits being valid, I just thought they needed more justification. Telepatty went on to edit a dozen more articles in similarly questionable ways, all marked as minor and without edit summaries. Multiple editors have reverted them and warned about their problems. Yet still Telepatty has not responded here in any way whatsoever. I'm not writing off this editor as a lost cause, but we must see some sort of response. (By the way, I know that neurologists hardly ever perform surgery, but I'm not aware of any global rule that says they can't, as Telepatty wrote.) Looie496 (talk) 17:07, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
March 2009
editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Wikipedia. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 18:37, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary for your edits. Thank you. ∏∪βiατεch 18:48, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Please do not make test edits to articles, as you did with this edit to Nephrology, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits constitute vandalism, and will be reverted. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ∏∪βiατεch 19:01, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Orthopedic surgery. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. ∏∪βiατεch 19:08, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
ANI notification
editOkay -- your lack of responsiveness has led me to ask for help at WP:ANI#massive disruption. Looie496 (talk) 19:34, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- I will explain in detail; please take note. Whether you possess expertise to back up your edits to medical articles I know not, but i possess a medical qualification and forty years of experience. You are modifying articles ia a negative way, without meaningful reason and to their detriment. If you have medical knowledge, please write new articles on topics not yet covered in the encyclopedia. If you do not, please leave the editing of medical articles to thoxe who do. Your block is resonably short; please be aware that the next, if deserved, will be longer. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 20:23, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- Further to my previous comment; reviewing some of your earlier edits makes it quite clear that you do in fact not have a medical qualification or expertise. I suggest that when your block expires you edit, if you want to stay here, elsewhere in the encyclopedia. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 20:31, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Life Imprisonment (Croatia)
editLife imprisonment in Croatia is legal. Since the abolition of the death penalty, the maximum penalty became life imprisonment. In the 1990s, the punishment was replaced with 20 years imprisonment. It was later reinstated. When someone is sentenced to life imprisonment, they can apply for parole in 20 years to the criminal court they were tried by. This court reviews the parole and grants or denies parole. If an offender is denied parole, they can reapply every 3 years. In certain serious cases, one can be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. Inmates connected with terrorism or mafia associations or are considered a threat to other offenders or themeselves can be sentenced to serve between 6 months and 3 years in solitary confinement. There may also be requests for one to remain in solitary confinement throughout their enitre sentence. For offenders under the age of 16, the maximum penalty is 20 years imprisonment with parole eligablity in 13 years.
Crimes that carry a mandatory life sentence:
- Aggravated Murder
- Terrorism
- Treason
- Drug Trafficking
- Human Trafficking
- Torture
- Genocide/Biocide
- Espionage
Crimes that carry optional life sentences:
- Severe cases of any felony
- Repeated convictions of a felony
- War Crimes
- Military Crimes
- Political Offenses
- Firearm Trafficking
Nomination of Life imprisonment in Mexico for deletion
editA discussion has begun about whether the article Life imprisonment in Mexico, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Life imprisonment in Mexico until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. MorganKevinJ(talk) 23:02, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
The article Armen Nazarian (writer) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Kudpung (talk) 05:51, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
The article Murder (Croatian law) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wildly incorrect, would have to be rewritten from scratch. E.g. max. prison sentence in Croatia is 40 years, not 99.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GregorB (talk) 13:44, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
