Your sandbox, and off-wiki canvassin

edit

Hi - welcome to Wikipedia. I'm Girth Summit, an administrator here. I've noticed a couple of unusual things about this account, which I wanted to discuss with you.

First, your use of your sandbox does not appear to be anything to do with this project - to be honest, it looks like you're using it as a messaging service to communicate with someone. I don't want to be a killjoy, but Wikipedia is not a free webhosting service or social network. Your use of your sandbox does not comply with our guidelines on userpages, and so I'd ask that you stop using it in that way.

Second, apart from editing your sandbox, the only edits you ever appear to have made are to our dispute resolution page, about one particular dispute. To be honest, that looks to me like someone you know asked you to create an account in order to mediate a discussion. You don't appear to understand how the process work, so it's entirely possible that you were unaware of how inappropriate that would be. Can I ask whether you can explain how you arrived at that dispute please? Thanks GirthSummit (blether) 15:09, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
